Fixed  Smiley

If you have Windows 7 64 Bit (as I do) simply install Windows 8 64 bit LGS and it works.

Thanks for the feed back. As I've tested the wheel on a PS3 and an old PC and all works fine, I'm left with a driver issue I think.

The clutch issue has cropped up with other Windows 7 users and there are some fixes to try. If anyone here has nailed it please let me know  Smiley

Got grief with g27 and me new pc  :'(

Wheel gets recognised and works fine in AC but i have no ff. There is no ff section when i find controller through control panel. Oddly my clutch is not recognised in game. May be linked?

Any helpers?  Smiley

Hello everybody, noob here  Wink

Having finally found time for sim stuff, was surprised that assetto worked at all on my decrepit machine. Sadly tis too flaky to join you gents but is good to see your times etc. Will get PC bits I need asap (anyone got a decent gpu or cpu for sale?).

Tis good to see this place still up and running  Smiley.
6  UKPnG / UKPnG Races / Re: UKPnG Season 8 British Historic Cup - Donington Park - May 23 on: May 23, 2013, 10:37:18 PM +0100
As I've not used this pc for months its not surprising it went wonky laugh Spring cleaning as we speak and should be good for next week.

The connection thing happended yesterday in pracci as well. Originally connect ok, pc crashes, after restart, lobby and other server works fine but can't connect to server to which i was connected at time of crash. Seems cwappy game related rather than server led?

I also have a strong opinion on fecking cwappy pcs/games. Pc crashed when on server and now I cant log back into server. Lobbys ok and I can get on other servers, not just the one I want.

O well Roll Eyes

I already think the graphics are stunning but the team have been working on the FFB and have made some real strides in the last few builds.

Now I hope they might concentrate on the UI.

Gotta agree this looks great now, a good leap from the older sim generation in that respect. Left me wondering why RF2 hasn't made that leap :'( See the UI has been tweaked in latest release, just dl'ing now.

Gawd, so BRD are still around??

As a fan of the 'little guy' and as I was always happy with their customer service that's good to see Smiley Can someone decipher how much the wheel is on its own from here http://www.brdsim.com/download/pro-st&pedals.pdf ? I guess 150-200 notes Wink Is it is good as it looks?

They have sent me an acivation code and say the installer should be with us shortly. Make of that what you will.
12  SimRacing In General / rFactor / Re: RFactor2 on: January 09, 2012, 10:11:14 PM +0000
The game is stated to cost 45 dollars so its not a bad deal (if we get the game of course).
13  SimRacing In General / rFactor / Re: RFactor2 on: January 09, 2012, 10:09:12 PM +0000
O crap, it did occur to me as well but I dove in my excitement anyways. Hope you don't have to say I told you so soon.

With the Premium account, at least team kc have another branch now. All as gullible as me are welcome to join Smiley

I'm not qualified to gauge the technical bits but this has fun elements that appeal to me.

The elevation changes are the best I've come across in any sim. The Belgium Forest version of Eau Rouge is epic as you stare into the sky. And the drawing distances, which appear huge to me, make it feel very real. Also looks great to me.

Getting a new version every couple of weeks is exciting. A new present every couple of weeks for 10 euros  Smiley

The Cateram is like not other sim version I've tried. When you get in a tank slapper its very, very difficult to get it outta of it unlike other sims. It could be vague as Shark suggests or maybe realistic? I've honestly got no idea but this makes me feel human where other sims can make you feel like a driving god. I quite like being hit around the head occasionally.

Less fun is the lack of opponents, no online racing is a let down, and lack of 'normal' features so far. Bear in mind this is all very beta. Some fun and pleasant suprises to be had Smiley

The session started really well for me. Seemed to be on the pace, very hard to gauge who I was actually racing, and getting faster through first hour. Then was struck by terrible fps stutters just before my pit, this caused me a couple of offs and some damage to front. Decided not to fix damage in stop as you can normally drive through that but the car suffered terrible understeer through hour two and I was some 3/4 seconds slower. Very frustrated, I decided to fix car on final stop but its didn't change the handling at all Huh In all honesty the last sessions were painful and I would have quite if not for the rather ace team element.

Thanks to the GTWeb gents for putting on another great show Cool And all you gents for adding to the fun. Whens the next?
