Grid/server capacity: 28

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins)
Race: 20:40 (24 laps)

Track: Mid-Ohio (chicane) Download this

Cars allowed: Shelby Cobra Pack Download this, Shelby Cobra 289/427.

Car restrictions: Rank 1 to 13 - 240kW or 261kW spec Cobra's
                         New drivers and Rank 14 to 25 - any of the above plus 320kW or 354kW spec Cobra's  

This race will use the UKGTL Skin Pack 1.8.0.0.

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org.uk SCC
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

is it Direct IP or through the internet? I see a ukgtr server with Tony in but it says Nurburgring Mullenbach and wont let me in (and i am using the correct password)

Presuming that ukgtl and not ukgtr you're seeing there Andy  Wink

Could be the installer put the track in the wrong place...it happens to me all the time. Have a look for a GTL file in your root folder as it could be in there.

Track was not VLM version. wrong track posted.
downloaded and installed the old non VLM version, but had little time for setup, had never run the cobras
on this PC before, but tried to race, car was all over the road so gave up.

Sorry guys. It looks like a track mix up caused all the probs. The installer was pointing at the VLM version however yours truly hadn't updated the server version.

I'll get the older version removed to prevent this happening again.

i knew it worked as i practised a little off-line just to check, i didn't think you would have chosen anything other than the VLM version so it didn't occur to me to look for the old one  Roll Eyes doh  Wink

Too late at home - no time at all for practice, tried two or three laps
at VLM Mid-Ohio offline, found out that there was no way for me to
force these snakes around this track - especially the chicane - and
decided to skip this one  Huh

With the wrong track installed I would have had no chance to join
at last minute.
 
I'll be there next time.
