All members welcome.

Grid/server capacity: 28

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins)
Race: 20:40 (42 laps)

Track: Mallory Park Download this

Cars allowed: Any car, once only, from here The real mod 1.0:
http://downloads.gamers-crib.com/Sim%20Racing/GTL/Mods/RealMod/RealMod10.exe or here http://www.gamefront.com/files/21168781/RealMod10_exe

and last update (to ver 1.3):
http://downloads.gamers-crib.com/Sim%20Racing/GTL/Mods/RealMod/RealMod13update.exe or here http://www.gamefront.com/files/21168219/RealMod13update_exe

It's best if you create a standalone GTL install (copy your GTL to a temp folder, rename it e.g. REAL GTL, then copy back to your usual directory. Path the install to the new REAL GTL you have just created).  Install ver 1.0 first then update with the ver 1.3 install. Run the sim and purchase the cars.
We will not be able to use any skin packs with this mod.

Drivers are reminded that the maximum number of drives in any car is One. Check your status here

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org.uk RGTL
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.
(4) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page

Special Notes: None.

Damned - looks like I can't make this one due to a short holiday/extended weekend without
internet connection  Huh - but near the Nuerburgring  Grin - in the Eifel mountains.

To make things worse I do like this event's racetrack!

I think I may have crashed the server.
I wanted to go online for a bit of practice, but I mistakenly selected regular Alfa. My game crashed upon joining the server, and when I tried to rejoin, the server was no longer in the mp list.

SorryTony, caught out by lack of observation! Roll Eyes After joining for second attempt and voting to proceed to next session, I went straight out to qualify. After about 3 laps I suddenly realised I'd not seen any cars or idents passing pits.  Huh Pitted and tried to contact someone on chat. Angry  Qualifying was over by then, gave it a few seconds and Quit. From the lobby chat it was clear y'all had been disconnected, decided to call it a day and quit.

Hope we have better luck tonight with AM DBR 1!!!  Grin

We had two failed starts Bill. We did wait for you to arrive but as time passed it did seem likely that you had given up so we carried on without you.

Congrats to Ade on a great drive under pressure. I was flat out every lap trying to catch up & every time I passed the pits the gap was 1.xxx seconds!  Roll Eyes I made a couple of mistakes near the end which allowed the gap go up to over 3s, it would have been that at the end if Ade hadn't been held up on the last lap. Very fast that Renault, must give it a try.

Also congrats to Syd in 3rd & all who took part.  thumbup1

Smiley Smiley Back of the grid at the restart which was fun and managed to get up tp P5. Then came uner presure from Ken and a nice battle followed for some laps. Eventually Ken's Mustang over came the my little Lotus and then just got fastaer & faster. I then fell asleep and crached at the hairpin...Then lapped by Ade & Geoffers well done guys. Finished P6....But first Lotus :-)

Grats to Ade and Geoffers.
I started 7th from the random grid, but got through the traffic quickly, and I was in fourth by lap 2 or 3. From there I tried to stay with senyorlobo and in the process I pulled a gap over Mark. Just as senyorlobo  was getting away from me, after maybe 15 laps, he made a mistake. He went wide at the loop that is T1 and I got ahead. Then we proceeded to have a 25 lap (or so) battle for 3rd place. Mainly I tried to stay on the racing line. If he wanted to get ahead, he would have to take the long way around. I did take the defensive, inside line into the hairpin a few times, as senyorlobo  got close. And we had some minor incidents a couple of times. But it was a great fight, and really sweated that one out.
