Yes it works! Shocked

I do race GPL with 60fps since its first release in March 2009, when I had an Athlon XP running @ 2000MHz and a Nvidia Geforce2 TI (now both in my server  Wink )
This patch uses the CPU and GPU a little more than the standard 36fps!

To begin:

You need GEM+ 2.5.32
and the V2 rasterizers

Then get the 60fps files at SRMZ:

http://srmz.net/index.php?showtopic=3821
http://srmz.net/index.php?showtopic=4402
http://srmz.net/index.php?showtopic=4584

Please read the topics to get an idea what this patch made for GPL!

Then you put the 60fps patch files into ...\GPLSecrets\GEM+\Options folder

I put in all 4 of them, to be flexible...

60fpsaiv1.xml
60FPSv1.xml
60FPSv2.xml
60fpsv2newmod.xml

You should enable vsync for 60fps in the GEM+ graphics options and your graphics card setup (CCC for ATI)

To take part on an race with 60fps, first you check the box in GEM+ for the fitting 60fps patch.
Don't forget to uncheck it if you join a 36fps server!

60FPSv1               -> 69X and GT
60fpsv2(newmod)   -> 67, 66, 65 and 69

If you mismatch the right checkbox or forget to check, you won't get on the server or get this "every 3sec flash"   Wink

Now just try!
If there are questions or problems, please post!

 Grin Grin

Thx for that Axel !
I would really like 60fps became more popular ….

Maybe useful to ad 60fps replay stuff as well .

Readme by Akseli :
Download this file. Unzip it to same folder as 60fps. (GPLSecerts\GEM+\Options\) and make a new folder in your GPL-folder called repl60. Then tick 60fpsreplay in GEM+ when you are using 60fps.

Thank you Axel  Smiley

Just a question ...

I don't have any of the 69 or GT mods installed , should I need to install these patches first ?

you dont need them if you dont drive them.  60fps works all mods.

I see that you run your server with 3/84 3/132. What about this in the readme of the patch:

The following Core.ini parameters are recommended (change them if you know what you are doing):

net_mdm_client_send_every = 5                ; Client packet freq on dialup
net_mdm_client_send_size = 84                ; Client packet size on dialup
net_mdm_server_send_every = 5                 ; Server packet freq on dialup
net_mdm_server_send_size = 384               ; Server packet size on dialup
net_server_port=0                             ; Server port number (0 = default)
net_use_mdm_bandwidth_for_tcp_ip=1            ; Use modem bandwidthfor TCP/IP - 1 = Use net_mdm_ settings *

The reason for using send_every = 5 instead of the commonly used 3 is that networking code is also speeded up. Send_every = 3 means sending data every third frame (12 times per second in original GPL). Using send_every = 5 means sending data every fifth frame, which is again 12 times per second when using the 60 fps patch. Send_size parameters are not affected by the 60 fps patch, so they can be chosen as before.

I'll install the 60fps paches just today a few hours before the GT-Ferrari race at Spa hoping there will be nothing strange to change on my GT's and 65's patches. I've never used 60fps at all so I hope all will get right.

See you later.
