SPECIAL RULE FOR THIS EVENT: Standing start

Notes:
(1) Please make sure you are fully aware of the UKGTR Rules - especially the speed limiter starting procedure and the rules about in-game chat messages.
(2) You will not be able to join the server without the car physics pack and track (see links above).
(3) Drivers are reminded that they must select ISDN as their bandwidth, otherwise the stability of everyone's connection will be reduced.
(4) Please use the Driver Details page to ensure that the league management software has your correct GTR2 'Driving Name' (not necessarily the same as your lobby name).
(5) The server will be set to 26 slots, not 28.

To repeat what I said in my first post for the Sachsenring race:

'You need to sign up at Pilsbierbude.de in order to download the track.

You only need this track and not the entire Pilsbierbude mod collection. That entire collection is for joining Pilsbierbude servers. Goodness knows what the size of that is by now.'

The results from this special event will be recorded permanently.

I will post a few pointers on learning the track in this thread soon.

I took the liberty to advertise this event in VDA forum, hoping that some Italian Ring Lovers will join it  Smiley

Just ran a few recon laps as not used the ring for ages. Its a great track conversion, very detailed and looks excellent.  Cool

Well off the pace so far in 9:30's with a full tank and meds all round. Its a long old lap to memorise!

I was out there in my own car this time last year and wish i was there again! My first two laps still had frost on the circuit  Shocked
Awesome place. Cool

I have decided to go with normal tyre use and normal fuel use and no pit stop for this race after doing a bunch of laps in various cars.

Sorry for the changes. It will stay like this now. Smiley

I have managed 9.05 in the Viper, 8.58 in the Lotus and 8.54 in the Vertigo so far. I would recommend the Vertigo as it is the most stable car IMO.

I just tried a couple of laps in the RS GT3 with soft/med and 70 litres. With some mistakes I managed a 8.48.xxx, but it was a very conservative lap. I guess that a lap near the 8.40/8.42 should be a good lap in it.

I will try with other cars soon, to have a better challenge in the Green Hell. Porka it's really easy to drive around here. I will update my laptimes when I'll have some time to try the other cars.

D'oh, did my laps with 2x fuel and tyre wear and hefty 100L onboard. Would hope to be a lot faster in a lighter config!

Few laps with Gillet Vertigo. With a decent lap: 8.43.4, but I guess that a good lap should be well under the 8.40.

Tomorrow I'll try another car Wink
