ATTENTION!

The Can-Am ‘71 Historical Add-on is released today!!!  clap
http://srmz.net/index.php?s=21400b74db7c30157d1ad3d9be5a3208&showtopic=10014

BUT
Please do not use this Add-on for tomorrows CanAm71 race to avoid any troubles!

I will not install this Add-on to the server before this race!

I have no problem with this  Add-on, but it is a too short time to test it with clients of both versions on the server.

Hi all,

I hope to be back in time from work for at least the Can-Am race, perhaps both races. Either way, here is a Ferrari 712 setup I made from a Greger Huttu Lotus setup. I find the Can-Am's particularly difficult to drive, so I've set the car up so it's relatively easy to drive. Hopefully it works for you too Smiley .

Here it is: www.grandprixlegends.co.nf/files/TvO_LeMans_30586_F712.he1

Place the file in the ...\Sierra\GPL\players\your 1971 Can-Am player\setups\nbsarthe folder.

Tommie.

P.S. Take a look at my new site http://www.grandprixlegends.co.nf/ Smiley . I've also reuploaded the GPLEA site, you can find it in the navigation bar on the left.

The addon will addon some colour, but beware of it's Hi-Res-edness.  There should be a folder therein, with more friendly online skins, wherein better framerates may lie . . . . wherein to wear out.  And shake it all about!   wacko

Ima feed this telegraph pole a Mclaren.

Telegraph poles like Mclarens.  :'(

So how did it feel in your car, Dave, sitting there dazed after your crash, watching me hit the pole, get vaulted into the air, spinning slowly, all quiet, only to land *right* ontop of you?  laugh

If you want a laugh, watch that sequence of the rpy.

Ouch, sorry about my bad driving. The telegraph pole jumped out in front of my car. The phrase, "One mistake can kill" comes to mind. I'll watch the replay to hopefully learn a lesson from it.

Cheers,
Walter

Big apologies to Dean and Axel for two different incidents.  I just got caught out under braking.  Put me back, and then I got roughed up a bit.   wacko   Such a shame because I was looking forward to the GT race all week long and I went and buggered it up.  MK2 Ford was feeling pretty good, too.  The Can-Ams was tough.  I think the McLaren had something for the Ferraris but I couldn't do a clean qualifying lap, and just drove to survive the race.  Basically I think we need to spend much more time at this track Smiley

Grats to Axel and Martin!

It's confession time - I was the one who dropped those frames on the Mulsanne straight.  Glad we have a one reset rule, to help keep this series friendly, amongst the 200mph debris.

My car lacked sufficient speed in race 1.  A spot of beach combing  and motor disassembly leaving me last in a hurry.  The car was happier on its own, though I was not! Undecided

Race 2 handicap was a lot kinder, and I sat watching a great scrap for the lead.  The break came when the duelling duo discovered my frames dropped, at the Mulsanne kink, and I was able to cruise the remaining laps to the finish.  It's great to have a win, which I dedicate to the cars original owner.  laugh
