Chrome seemed to think the zip was compromised when I downloaded it... looked OK but think it's a false positive.

Please report any irregularities with the track here!

I was told there have been freezes and discos at online races...

Horrible circuit akin to Monaco. Gonna leave few survivors in a Pro race a la Valentino...

Joined late, couldn't get a setup dialled in quick enough, too short in 1st, too long in second, too long in 5th. Phantom kerbs make it a challenge too. How evil got a 22 out of this I don't know... could barely keep it on the ground long enough to reach below 25s.

At a guess, and working from experience around here you were probably pushing just 10%  too hard. This track is very like Monaco and rewards smooth accurate driving. Yes, you do need to get your gear ratios sorted as getting out of almost all of the corners is key to a quick lap. Each of the slow corners is followed by a straight/fast section, so a messy exit costs you a lot of time.

When I was racing 67's here a few years ago I kept trying to max that first kink after the start finish line and 99% of the time I clouted the kerb on the outside. Which at best I survived with a wobble, or I mounted and hit the wall, or I was sent hurtling onto the grass on the inside. None of the above allowed me to settle the car for the hairpin at the bottom of the hill. Far better to drop a gear for the kink and approach that hairpin under complete control, get a nice smooth entry and feed the power on to exit at max velocity for that long run up the hill. get it smooth and controlled and you will gain at least a second.

The same is true for several other sections, which are better taken under control rather than barely hanging onto the car at the limit of adhesion, because the next corner will certainly be compromised.

Having said all of that...... towards the end of last night's race I was pushing the envelope just to see what I could get away with, and the result........ lots of rubber smoke, bouncing off of kerbs and cones, and arm wrestling of the wheel with no noticeable improvement on lap times!!!

Messy, messy start. Lot's op people joined with only minutes to go and it showed on the opening lap. It kinda got me thinking that most people were not aware the race lasts more than one lap...

Spent the whole race catching up, but got the BT14 handling pretty good, and got some very decent lap times out of it. Too bad the engine is so weak even a spluttering FVA engine is faster Cheesy . So I had to settle for 4th just behind Dave, who I'm sure was glad he brought the Cooper home just about fast enough Cheesy .

Tommie.

Nice drive Clive! Congratulations Dave picking up the final podium position. And you too Tommie! Excellent lap time!

I wish I could say that was fun. It was kind of interesting though. I learned a new track.

I had something happen to me I haven't experienced before in the F2 cars. When I loaded the car with enough fuel for the race the car started oversteering much more than I could handle. I tried to make a few adjustments to compensate for it as qualifying was ending. It helped but not much. It's the first time I've had the car's handling change so drastically. I also think I may have started with one of my crappier setups.

I feel very lucky to have placed as well as I did. It looks like the only driver that was somewhat prepared was Clive.

I appreciate you guys letting me race with you. I'm looking forward to another Works season too.

Take care.

I was one of the late joiners, I'd never driven Pau so was wondering as to the wisdom of the decision.  I skirted round the first lap carnage and seemed to run fourth before being discoed.

I had two discos in qual and finally another in the race, was it just me?  Usually my connection is solid and I managed to watch youtube with my newly freed-up time  Wink without any issues.

Nope! All I did was load a setup from Brands Hatch, drop the final drve ratio one notch and try and remember which way the track went after each bend.  Undecided
