Another BMW/Lotus battle but featuring different models on a different track. The Lotus was slightly quicker during my brief testing so I suggest anyone under 2:26 considers jumping into the Z4 to mix things up a little.

I'll be racing this week. AC has had a new lease of life for me since dropping the resolution from 5760x1080 -> 4800x900 as the graphics now run fast enough to make it play well even with triple rendering. The framerate of this game definitely screws up the physics. It's totally incredible now and the cars feel so alive. Tried iRacing again and it just feels completely numb in comparison and the graphics are so flat in iRacing.

I would say though everytime I've played multiplayer the framerate has been significantly hit compared to single player.

Quick ways to grab back fps are by decreasing reflection and shadow settings and disabling things like motion blur (or even all post processing hdr effects as I do).

I also find that in game vsync works very well combined with limiting fps to my screen refresh and gives very smooth gameplay with no scenery stutter through the corners. I checked for input lag with these settings and surprisingly that also seemed better with hardly any discernible lag between my rl wheel and the screen.

*cough* can someone change the server status to this week's race please  Wink

 laugh Thanks Pete.

Now then, there are rumours that Wednesday could be the day that AC 1.0 release candidate hits us which is all great but.......the anticipated size of the download together with any hotfixes could leave us in a bit of a mess for this race Undecided  Then again, we could still be waiting come Christmas  angel

i see Spa is in version 1.0 to be released  Smiley as well as other goodies  Cool

Did some laps at Nurby GP tonight, enjoyed it, like a virtual track day with a handful of each car type on track  Smiley
2:28.4 so far. Biggest challenge is stopping at T1 as late as you dare.

I concur, the elise is approx 5 seconds a lap faster than the z4.

No server to be found.

Looks like I'm able to join. The (ping-pong)table where I have my wheel on is not very stable, so I've got to be very gentle with steering and lower the ffb.
I'll be in the BMW, going under 26s with the Lotus  Sad

The AC server process does seem to crash in strange ways sometimes. I've restarted it.
