Grid/server capacity: 28

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (10 mins)
Race 1: 20:30 (12 laps)

Practice (Car change): ~20:50 (10 mins)
Qualifying: 21:00 (10 mins)
Race 2: 21:10 (12 laps)

Track: Cadwell Park Download this

Cars allowed: Lotus Elan, TVR Griffith 400. (Drivers must change makes for Race 2).

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal
Pit stops: Not required

Server: simracing.org.uk Monday
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: Note early race start time! Drivers shall not change cars during qualifying.

Geez, the TVR is a handful here.  All those sharp rises and drop off's are tough to adjust too.  Looks like a "survivor wins" track to me.  Should be interesting for sure!

Ack, past times glory is a long way off.  Have an old hotlap replay of myself doing a 1:33 in the TVR, but today I'm struggling - hard - just to get within 3 seconds of that time.  Wonder if the track has been changed, but then the old replay file would probably not work.  Have not driven the Elan here before, so have no old laptimes to compare with.  Laptimes are very close to my present-day TVR times.

What sort of laptimes are you guys getting - if you want to share ?

Am lapping fairly comfortably in the low 36's, with the TVR slightly quicker by about 0.5 sec. Not in a million years would I reach the 33's laugh

edit - actually thinking about it, I'm busting blood vessels getting round in 36's. Realistically its more like 37/38's if I want to run the distance.

I know what you mean Steve.  I ran a 134.8 with the Lotus in practice but never could touch the 134's again.  Am running mostly high 135-low136"s in the Lotus and 136's , 137's & 138's in the TVR in race trim/fuel.  Like this track but sometimes the adrenalin gets to pumping and I am my own worst enemy!!!

I'm getting a cut track warning on two corners when nowhere near the white lines. This is offline so maybe not an online problem. Beware.....
