This test race is to make sure the mod is working correctly on the UKGTR server. Note the required pitstop for testing purposes. I have made some instructions for installing the Super GT mod: https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=12748.0

I was going to use Donnington for testing but Barcelona is bit better suited to the cars. We will race at Donnington some time soon.

I have installed a new copy of GTR2 and the 1.1 update and the lobby patch, but when I go in the lobby it is empty?
I seem to recall a year or two ago their was a problem with the lobby and we had to change a setting in some file to point to something at pilsbierbude, does this ring a bell with anyone?

Hi SRW, To hopefully make your life easier, just make a copy your normal "C:\gtr2" folder & name the new copy "c:\gtr2-GT500". Then follow H@L's instructions about overwriting the 'gamedata' folder with the MOD & patch files over the new "c:\gtr2-GT500\gamedata". You'll just then need to create a new shortcut on your desktop to "c:\gtr2-GT500\gtr2.exe" Hope that helps

thanks Legzy, but I wanted to install a fresh version of the game because my current version has loads of mods and I have fiddled around with the FFB settings in the .plr file and wanted to start a fresh.
I have found a file called 'local_IP_lobby.txt' but it contains the same text as in my old version of GTR2 (gtr2server1.gtr-evolution.com)

I think something's gone wrong with that replay, it's just got one short replay called Barcelona HOT LAP.Vcr.

It looks like the server did not save the replay of the race for some reason. I did fail to set the server to 'standing start' and it was also set to skip out lap, so we teleported to just before the start line instead of having a proper warm up lap. Maybe that caused issues with the replay? Perhaps it could be that a .plr tweak is required?
