Season 28 - Privateers Trophy

The division specific rules are mostly the same as last season, Privateers will run as a completely separate division from Works. Privateers will run Intermediate damage with one Shift-R only. There is no direct handicap, other than tokens.

This season, races are to be run at 60 frames per second – please use this patch 60fpsV2newmod Drivers must complete 50% of each race to score points but tokens are earned for making a race start.

I've installed and tested the tracks and all work well at 60fps apart from Spa67 which I can't get to launch at all.

I've tried it with and without the Hi Res textures and have downloaded and installed patch 1.3 as instructed on the download page but without success.

The track seems to install correctly and appears on the track selection list but when I launch it I just get the spinning circle timer and have to invoke Task Manager to close GPL.
The same happens when I try to launch the replay track.

Have I missed a trick somewhere?

Does it work at 36fps?

Have you tried the low-res pack?

What video card are you using?

Try lowering the replayMemoryOverride value in your core.ini to 16000, though this will prevent you from saving the full replay, so you'll want to change it back when using other tracks.

The fact that the track doen't load at all might mean there is something wrong with the 67season.ini file.  Have you used the GEM+ Season manager to remove the papy original Spa?  That way you can be sure it is the new Spa you are trying to load.

Michael, do you use a V2 rasterizer? Have heard probs with Spa67 when ppl still used older d3d/ogl rasterizer (for some reason).

But in the Season 28, there is no more the F2?
Is possible to race with F2 in the Friday but i wait the list of track.

Here's the current state of play
PC: i7 5820/Geforce GTX780 Ghz Edition/16GB DDR4/SSDs for software

I installed the V2 rasteriser and moved the Papy Spa out of the 67 season ini
60 FPS setting/OpenGLv2 or Direct3D.v2 rasteriser
Replays are now playable including SPA67 but cannot now race at any track
When I click the Green button, nothing happens
If I then select 'View Replay' I get the message 'You are not qualified to drive in this race' but I can go on to select a replay

36 FPS setting/OpenGLv2 rasteriser
All tracks tested including SPA 67 are playable although Pribluda is now missing. I presume I will be able to reinstall this but haven't tried yet

Michael have you used GEM+ and sorted the 67season.ini by directory?
If yes, this often messes the file!

Look into it and look for weird things 

Replace it by a saved 67season.ini and sort it manually!

Cookie, I used Gem to remove SPA but didn't re-sort.

Anyhow, problem solved I think

After a bit more Googling I came across a post that said that some tracks required '60fpsv2newmod' in GEM/Options rather than '60fpsv2' which is what I had:-

"Especially make sure you are running 60fpsv2newmod patch (this one is compatible with mods with long track support). If you get a "not qualified" join error, its because of not being patched with 60fpsv2newmod."

So I replaced the original with newmod and all seems well so far.

Perhaps this information could be posted on the race page in due course

Next step will be to reinstall Pribluda a start practising at Spa which seems quite a bit different not only graphically from the Papy version

For online racing you will only need to have

60fpsV1 for SC, 69Xtra and 66s
and
60fpsV2newmod for 65, 67, F2 and CanAm71

OH so it is! Sorry hadn't noticed that or twigged the significance as I haven't raced with 60fps before - or done much tweaking.

I can't make the first round as I cannot get the track to run at an accetable fps on my ancient steam driven computer, I've tried everything to no avail. Anyway, interesting choice of tracks for the season, I only recognise a handful.
