Practice: 19:20 BST
Qual 2: 20:20 (20 mins)
Race: 20:40 ~ 30 Mins
Cars allowed: BMW M1 ProCar
Track: Hungaroring
Time of Day Setting: 13:00
Weather: Dry
Start: Standing

Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: OFF
Pit-stops: None required

Server: phspok4
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Experience from Steam, and have the Euro Track Pack
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

I looked at Zandy for this, and was tempted, but decided to go with those other Amatuer racers in their single seaters this week  Roll Eyes
The M1 is a hoot here  Grin

I will have a word with Picnic about getting this one our paid for server, as, although mine has run very well at times in the past
I don't entirely trust it.

I will delete the Brands thread tommorow

I really like the M1 in this, it is what a sim car should be to me. Does need to be purchased though.

Grandma, eggs, sucking, etc. But, for me at least, the default setups are a bit wayward, particularly for the
power beasts like the Group5 cars. Depends on your rig of course, but I have a G27 and leave the steering
angle as it comes, but reduce the big number (Rotation?) to 450 and all the cars are drivable like that.
with the standard 900 or so, it's like driving an oil tanker. Also for the more power cars I make the front
setting harder and the rear settings softer, or I can't drive them.

Might get a few more for this one?
Reinhard and Fede were sadly missed last event, we need some aliens to keep GT in check  Roll Eyes
Maybe John will give it a try?
Bill may turn up with his new found battery power... Postal might come out to play perhaps?
MJ almost made an appearance last time. C'mon in guys the water's lurverly
The more people, the more chance of having someone to race with, considering I don't do much
practice either, I seem to be having a lot of fun dicing with someone most of the time  Grin
Actually I am going a bit quicker since I tried the bonnet view after Simon asked about it.
I like the cockpit view, but it does seem a bit faster using the bonnet view  thumbup1

Have purchased car and track so intend to be there, busy week though so amount of practice will depend upon weather. Will be at practice/qualifying wether I race or not depends on my relative pace.

What is our track designation in the RRE lobby please?

Nice choice of track for these M1s as I believe back in the day they were the support series for F1 weekends. Track is pretty technical and demands a lot of concentration to be consistent but flows nicely after a few laps and setup tweaks.

I've tried bonnet view in the past as I'd heard it was a bit quicker than cockpit view but always felt like I was sitting on top of the bonnet while driving which was a bit strange. I use cockpit view with a low FOV setting which seems to put me "in the car" and of course I turn off the steering wheel and driver's arms graphics which these sim devs spend so much time on  Roll Eyes

Here's a fresh link to my tips which might help some....

Hope we get a decent turn out for this  thumbup1

I don't think i will be attending.  It is a little hectic at home atm, so i am happy if i can make one of the races a week around here! Trying to do the GTL and some AC races right now. And having to buy into R3E every week and having another game to try is just a little too much right now. Sorry.

Both races it did participate in where pretty good though. It is a RACE game very much already. Curious to see where it is going. (we just have to many race sims! angel)

Not sure I'm with you Bill. The server at the moment will be "phspok3" or some number
until/if we decide to run it on our "proper" server. We are still in a test phase, there seems to be
enough interest to keep it going, so when we get a results import system working we will be
running a season of some sort. That will likely be using our SROUK server.

Love the car, not so much the track. My best so far is a 1:57

Thanks, only really started looking at RRE in last week and didn't realise we are only in a test phase. I assumed that a SROUK server  was available but in use with other Sims and the actual race would be on that - my mistake.  oops Wrote my comment before Monday afternoon when I found your server whilst looking through the RRE lobby list and logged on to it.  Grin

Haven't been able to get a timed lap in just can't get the car to turn in and avoid a Track cut Warning! Put quite a bit of time in learning the track and tried my usual adjustments without any success.  After tea might try an E 30 or E 90 GT3 both of which I've driven OK at Brands and see I can get that around here offline successfully.

If I'm not on parade you'll know why.

Bill, try upping the brake pressure and move it forward a few clicks. Try 62/38
