Championship Standings

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Experience from Steam, and have the Euro Track Pack
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

hello,

i did tonight a race with same DTM92 cars in norisring in RD.
cars are much fun to drive in this track (this cars always fun Smiley)

the RD people did fuel need OFF, so i am not sure, if ALL cars can do 30min. with fuel, so perhaps do fuel OFF is good idea here too, as you can not select fuel in pitbox too, so fuel do actual not matter in R3E game i think.
this track was hard for my front tyres a lot, i did the ford mustang (i think this is name), i had after 30min.  this tyre wear...FL/FR-RL/RR  95/89!!! - 98/98,   with bad tyres it was very hard to brake the car, and i did feel the tyre wear very much in carhandling in end of race,
so probably i had should setup car other, lower tyre pressure (as i think my brake did ruin the front tyres mainly), more in rear the brake and perhaps more risky setup.
i did quali 52.8 (or 9), but sadly in race i did not found rhythm and i was not able to match quali laptimes (did not exactly know racelaps, as they do not show in this old cars, or did not see?)

perhaps i can make this race, not sure,
i did sign up already for thursday in RD with ADAC GT3 cars in norisring race any days ago, but perhaps i do sign out and make this race, as i like this cars a lot.

Thanks Reinhard

I left fuel on because the cars can easily do 30 mins with it on, and I thought it might add a little to the fun
as the fuel went down. I tried a 30 min test race, and I had maybe another 30 mins of fuel left at the end.
You may be correct though, it is probably safer to turn it off for events where we are not sure.

This is the first of a series, There will be at least 8 events listed by the end of this week. And I will add more
if people want them. I will use any car set that is popular if people want it, but my intention with this series is to use
mostly the historic car sets. The modern car sets are already well catered for with our AC series IMHO.

I need to advertise this series over as many forums as we know about. If anyone would care to put a note in other forums
that would be most helpfull. I will do as many as I know, but some people may be aware of places I have never been  Roll Eyes

Just seen a post about this on the S3 forums. I'd like to join in too - preferably in a BMW but I'm not too fussy. What do I need to do?

Hello Mr Belowski.

You need to register to these forums:
https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?action=help;page=registering
Then you read the topics, which you can already do. Then join the races you want to with the password

Usually the events run as practice for the week before the event, then on the evening of the event
you join with the race password, which can be seen at the top of the event pages once you have registered
the passwords do not normally change for a series, so once you know them you can just join.
We rent a comercial server, and this needs to be paid for. We ask for donations when we need to
You do not have to pay for anything, but if you stay with us for some time, it is customary to make some
sort of contribution.

Welcome aboard  Cool
Matt

Great to see you here Mr. Belowski  Cool

Must mention that this fellow is responsible for one of the coolest apps in simracing and I would recommend that everyone give it a try...

Enjoyed a good praccy session last night. Tough circuit but quite exhilerating to drive especialy when you get the lines and braking for the two hairpin turns just right. Looks like I'm fastest in the Beemer so I'll probably take that tonight. These cars are growing on me.

EDIT: Oh no! I think I've been using the wrong cars set  Roll Eyes  Angry I was driving the Gr.5's and now I see this is a DTM '92 race. Well that's me stuffed then.

Don't know what happened to Matt. Dropped off the server just as race started?

For me it was same old story, 3 secs per lap slower than everyone else, so doddered around at the back for about ten mins then gave up.

Not sure who it was, but the fella in the Mustang made us all look silly Smiley

I had a race-long battle for 2nd, with some seriously tense and exciting laps at the end

Hope we get a better turn out next time, but the quality of the driving was top notch
