Server: simracing.org.uk Monday
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None

Drivers are advised to install the advanced setup mod. This will enable wing angle to be modified. Get the mod here http://www.mediafire.com/download/3hufvlu3k93egh3/Advanced_Setup.zip

Install three files (Game.dic, GTLOptions1.gtl and gtlui.mnu) into your folder called UIdata.

It appears that the practice server is running an incorrect version of Zandvoort. I will fix this when I get home this evening. Thanks to Ziu for the heads up  thumbup1

I too had a health problem. My severe head cold that stopped me racing at the last two races in the 63 WSC Series has left me a little Wish (Cornish for Knackered) Dragged myself away from my lovely soft seat watching to goggle box and climbed stairs to my PC room and joined the event. I kept missing corners  Huh and felt miserable but decided to persevere and started the race. After about 3 laps I suddenly found a fast line and apart from getting out of the way of over takers I enjoyed my usual pastime of trying to beat my previous best laps.  thumbup1

I saw some poor driving during qualy last night. Two guys were on a hot laps however the one behind was closing on the one in front. The faster driver met the slower at a turn and instead of waiting, they barged through the inside, contacting the slower driver and causing him to spin, thus ruining his time. This is not good.

Faster guys on fast laps do not have right of way.

I passed Bill at one point, and took an inside outside line which didn't work, and we both went off
Bill apologised after, but it wasn't his fault. More mine, if that's what you are referring to.

One thing from last night:
I seemed to be slower than I expected. I assumed it might have at least been partly due to me not having the
advanced setup mod installed. I had to set massive coast diff and reduce fromt grip a lot to  make the thing
drivable, I suspect that if I had given it more rear wing instead I could have had more front grip
so would not have worn my fronts down to the rims by the end either.
