Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins)
Race: 20:40 (12 laps)

Time of Day Setting: 14:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org.uk Monday
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

Special Notes: None

Just installed the cars & track, one problem. I don't have a 340 Plymouth Barracuda!

I have a Plymouth SC Cuda & a Plymouth Roadrunner, but no Barracuda!

In the Extra Cars folder you should have a folder called 1968 Plymouth Barracuda.

Oops my fault, I thought it was in the 60s car download, but it is in the 3rd download, which for some reason I can't access. I click on the mediafire link & it just sits there not doing anything! Well it comes up with a blank page anyway.

All working OK now Tony, thanks.

Tried a few laps last night to learn the track & it appears there is quite a lot of scope for driving outside the bollards marking the course, particularly exiting T1 & some of the corners later in the lap onto the runway sections. How much of this will be tolerated? I only ask because on my small monitor it is quite difficult to see the bollards as they are quite small & don't stand out very well. But with some practice it shouldn't be too difficult to keep inside them.

Not much.  This track is very generous with the cut warnings, so you'll really have to watch it.

Cheers,
Erling

You have to watch out for crossing the faint white lines that defines the racing track limits through the first two turns. They can catch you out as you might believe you have all the tarmac width to play with.

Old Geezers Trans- Am Series should be fun. I don’t like the first track though. The last time I drove it I think I broke all records for S&Gs due to track cuts.  Evil I usually don’t get track cuts. I must practice more this time to find where the margins are.  Huh They seemed to vary depending on what sort of mood my PC was in.  devil

Wot Tony said. It seems the limits are the yellow cones, put a wheel over the yellow cones at many places, inside or outside
of turns and you get a cut track. Drove several people to near suicide with frustration last time we ran here.
No my fave track either, partly because of the vague track limits, and partly because it's not very interesting
though the races usually work ok.
