This race will be a rolling start following a formation lap and the procedure is as follows:

*It will be the pole sitter's responsibility to complete the first lap at a pace that allows the rest of the grid to follow comfortably
*There should be no overtaking or hard accelerating/braking
*Drivers should avoid getting too far behind or too close to the driver in front
*Approximately 20 seconds before crossing the start line the pole sitter should slow down to a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*Each following driver shall close up directly behind the driver in front also maintaining a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*The pole sitter should maintain that speed until they cross the start line and then accelerate away to start the race (lap2)
*Each following driver should only accelerate when the driver directly ahead does (they do not have to wait until crossing the start line)
*No overtaking is allowed before crossing the start line at the completion of the formation lap

Practice: 20:00 GMT (30 mins)
Qual 2: 20:30 (15 mins)
Race: 20:45 ~ 60 Minutes

Cars allowed: This is a multiclass race
CDP Class "Chevrolet Daytona Prototype"
GTR3 Class "Any car from GTR3 class"

Track: Mid Ohio Full
Time of Day Setting: Afternoon
Weather: Dry

Start: Manual rolling start with formation lap
Tyre wear: x2
Fuel consumption: x2
Pit-stops: Minimum 1 stop required

Server: Simracing.org.uk
Password: see above
(2) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another non pack track occasionally)
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

The leaderboards give a rough idea but bear in mind these times are very much hotlap mode and our race pace won't be as quick as the front runners...

Good luck with your first race and don't forget the formation lap at the start  Wink

There are no fuel or tyre multipliers in single player mode at present, only available as server settings.

The GTR3 cars use approx. 1.6 litres per minute (fuel x2 = 3.2 litres per minute). You'll start the race with a full tank of 120 litres although confusingly the HUD only shows the starting fuel as 100 litres.....this will likely be sorted next update.

If you want to test for yourself, set up a single player race and then note when the fuel display starts to fall from 100L. You can then note the amount of fuel used per minute and work it out from there. If in doubt, fill 'er up  Wink

Ahh...that's probably why I can't find it then  Cheesy

Is this the same scenario (waiting for updates) for tyre wear? can't seem to find anything to do with the rubber bits either!

Yes. Tyre wear multipliers are available in server settings but are not in single player just yet.

BTW our server will never actually be set for mandatory pitstop for these races as I believe this forces drivers to pit within a narrow window which can upset certain strategies.

Well that was fun  Smiley

Don't think I caused too much trouble for anyone...tried hard to keep out of the way  angel

Must learn how to use the game settings though...ran out of fuel after 34 laps...following 3 pit stops!! Thought it had given me a 'safe' load as it said on screen.  Roll Eyes

More practice and learning for next week, but enjoyed my first outing.

A great race for me, i`m pretty sure i done the entire race without messing up anywhere which i think is a first. This track doesn`t get used enough in sim racing.

Martin what was all that about at the start of the formation lap? I got close to being turned around as i was not aware you were alongside me and then just after you speed past me :/

Sorry Greg, My screen said Oscar was in front so I passed. Then it sorted itself out and I realised it was you in front.  Embarrassed

Great race until I bumped a kerb and half rolled. Was hanging on to Greg's tail quite well, great fun.
