Championship standings HERE Grid/server capacity: 22 Track: Watkins Glen GP Download thisCars allowed: Shelby Mustang Boss 302 Download thisPractice: ~19:20 (60 mins) Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins) Race: 20:40 (20 laps) Time of Day Setting: 14:00 Start: STANDING Tyre wear: Normal Fuel consumption: Normal Server: simracing.org.uk Monday Password: see aboveNotes: (1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage. (2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules. (3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read Autopit="0" Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable. Special Notes: None

I m still having problems with pain especially on this track because long corners. Car is enough balanced but I can keep pace few laps. I m thinking to skip practice and qualy and to take the start from rear grid on last position like at Sebring so I could get less effort

2:07's here but feel up to 3 could come off that.
Strangely have a similar garage setup for the 302 as I had for the GT40 which worked well for me. Here's hoping....

My best so far is around 2:09. I like driving the car, it has prety good handling for a muscle car. And it's fast too. What kind of setups are you guys using? If you dont mind sharing, of course.

I won't be able to make this one unfortunately. Off for a week in a cottage up in Scotland. I feel a distillery visit might be in my future. Have fun guys. TTFN John.

Looks like 2:05.9 is going to my best with race fuel. Tightening the front anti-roll bar and letting out some pressure in the rear tyres has helped, but I can't find anything else that will cancel out huge oversteer.

Steve and anyone else: Try this...Least amount of springs front & rear, so the car will transfere the most weight on entry and exit. Brake hard at first and then ease off into the corner. On exit just the opposite ease into the loud pedal. Front sway bay at least setting and rear at most setting. Caster at 5.5 and Diff & coast @ 20. Shocks set @ low numbers to suit you. This old earthling has one 203.8 (don't know how it happened) but can get 04's and low 05's most of the time if I focus. Drive as low as possible in the corner without getting into the grass. This is the way I have always set up muscle cars for the most models, maybe it's just me, but give it a try...

Thx for the help here, Bob. Some of those settings I already had in the garage, but the adjustments to the roll bars and castor have helped hugely. In fact, I feel very guilty by saying my best with race fuel has dropped to 2:02.9. I hope that doesn't make me an alien

I hope that doesn't make me an alien I think a blood test for alien DNA should be considered in this case Tony I have tested the server connection yesterday, but only did a few laps all on race fuel with a best in the low 2:04's. I was not entirely happy with either my driving or the handling/setup so I am hoping that tonight I can find a bit more pace. For me the challenge might be tyre wear, because I can see attacking all those long corners really eating rubber Maybe I should wear my extra thin, light weight racing socks for this event???
