Practice: 20:00 GMT (30 mins)
Qual: 20:30 (15 mins)
Race: 20:45 ~ 40 Mins

Cars allowed: Any car from GTR3 class
Track: Portimao GP
Time of Day Setting: Afternoon

Start: Rolling
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal
Pit-stops: None required

Server: Simracing.org.uk
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another
non pack track occasionally)
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.

Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page

This race will be a rolling start following a formation lap and the procedure is as follows:

*It will be the pole sitter's responsibility to complete the first lap at a pace that allows the rest of the grid to follow comfortably
*There should be no overtaking or hard accelerating/braking
*Drivers should avoid getting too far behind or too close to the driver in front
*Approximately 20 seconds before crossing the start line the pole sitter should slow down to a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*Each following driver shall close up directly behind the driver in front also maintaining a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*The pole sitter should maintain that speed until they cross the start line and then accelerate away to start the race (lap2)
*Each following driver should only accelerate when the driver directly ahead does (they do not have to wait until crossing the start line)
*No overtaking is allowed before crossing the start line at the completion of the formation lap

Hope we get a few out to play this evening. I'm going to have a few laps in the lesser used cars and see what I fancy instead of the Z4.

I can't be much help for that wheel, however I have found in Raceroom each car seems to need a diff wheel rotation setting just to feel normal to me.  Some I'm at 540 degrees others at 650, formula cars down in the 400's...ect.  Helps when you can adjust on the fly during lap, maybe I've got it all set up to complex.

Personal choice, but I use 900 degrees in the profiler and 600/15 ingame steering settings.

Thanks to Matt being kind enough to send me a GT40 setup I was actually able to stay on track and fluked a 3rd on the grid. Was holding that position until something went wrong with my Internet connection as I got dumped from the race and TS Sad Router has had a connection for 59+ days (that's some sort of record) so not sure what happened.

I doomed with this GT3 championship :'(

Must apologize to Simon and Eck. Just couldn't find the setup for all track, so I was quick at points but the car was unsteady. My fault / not enough track time.
Wasted enough of everybodys time so I quit. Good track, this. They don't make'em anymore.  Wink

best race I've had for ages  Grin
Great scrap towards the end with Tudor and Mark. Both fell off eventually allowing me to steal their
places, good fun whatever the position. I like this GT40, like I used to like the 2017 GT3Porka in AC
until they changed it.

Well that was very strange on the first racing lap coming into the hairpin it put me into reverse  Shocked which meant i spun sorry about that for the guys behind!
so after that I had a get a wriggle on! and that was fun chasing down the leader, nice one Carl good racing with you again! tires were shot last few laps as I had pushed so hard at the beginning. Really like to track nice flowing and fast.

John nice Race, yes that off durring lap 1 was strange, though it temporarily was a nice gift, your pace was blindingly fast today.  Great recovery and I think your qualy time was close to top the leaderboards go stake your place while your in the zone !
I thought I had a good setup but I think my performance just missed the mark today.  I normally enjoy the flow on this track but struggled to find that rhythm this race.  Not to mention my launch at the start, apologies for the rolling start shenanigans to the grid.  wacko wacko

That was a bit of a tough race and forced me to try and concentrate! Shame I lost it on the last lap or so as I felt I was able to keep the gap to Matt, but only just! By then my tyres were pretty gone, and made a mistake into that double RHer after the hairpin, think I clipped the blue sausage kurbs which, not too vilent was enough to put me off my line and un settle the car so I missed the tigher uphill RHer.

GT seemed pretty quick in the P4/5 at times but did seem a bit erratic. You were certainly winding Pete up with off track lines!

Tough race that one. The P4/5 is a great drive but it's slow and the visibility is carp which led to me having to push too hard. Had a few spins which cost time and ran wide meaning I had to lift to avoid slow down penalties  Roll Eyes Enjoyed trying to catch Matt and Mark who looked like the were having a great battle.
