Practice: 20:00 BST (30 mins)
Qualifying: 20:30 (15 mins)
Race: 20:45 ~ 60 Minutes

Cars allowed: Any car from "GTR3" class

Track: Shanghai GP
Time of Day Setting: Afternoon

Start: Manual rolling start with formation lap
Tyre wear: x1
Fuel consumption: x2
Pit-stops: Mandatory pitstop required

Server: Simracing.org.uk
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see
cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules especially the
rules about in-game chat messages.
(3) You will need to install Race Room Racing Experience from Steam, and have the Euro and American Track Packs for this series (And maybe another non pack track occasionally)
(4) Please exercise caution when pitting as some tracks have a speed limit.

(5) Please follow the SROUK guidelines for using kerbs etc. Please keep 2 wheels on the track surface (kerbs do not count as track surface)
Excessive cutting of corners will seen as cheating and the results may be altered to reflect this.


Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page

This race will be a rolling start following a formation lap and the procedure is as follows:

*It will be the pole sitter's responsibility to complete the first lap at a pace that allows the rest of the grid to follow comfortably
*There should be no overtaking or hard accelerating/braking
*Drivers should avoid getting too far behind or too close to the driver in front
*Approximately 20 seconds before crossing the start line the pole sitter should slow down to a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*Each following driver shall close up directly behind the driver in front also maintaining a speed of no more than 50mph (80km/h)
*The pole sitter should maintain that speed until they cross the start line and then accelerate away to start the race (lap2)
*Each following driver should only accelerate when the driver directly ahead does (they do not have to wait until crossing the start line)
*No overtaking is allowed before crossing the start line at the completion of the formation lap

Just to confirm this is a 60 minute race (announcement said 40 minutes). There is a mandatory pitstop with x2 fuel use.

No time for me to practice these days, but should be ok to race.

60mins! Not the nicest tracks to do it around sadly.

Pete you still struggling in the easist car to drive? lol.

Need to put some laps in the other cars as i'm not happy drivng the Audi every time!

Well what a waste of an evening. Again, no idea what to do to make the car drivable but but was going to stick out the race. Then did a pitstop, tyres were changed but no fuel added, I had normal selected as the option. Returned to the pits next lap and while trying to move the cursor between the options the game showed me an outside view looking at my car from the pitwall, the only button that seemed to do anything was ESC and of course that was the end of my race. Crock of *****

Just kicked me out.. unbelievable, There has to be something with the server. Because when I race with RD, full grids I have never had this.

Good to see you back with us Ant and hard luck....not sure what happened with your disco.

Pitstops are easy, just set what you want in the pitstop preset, make sure it's active and then press the pit in button on your in lap. You then need to scroll down to confirm and hit enter.

Great race with Mark and Matt.....whoever said endurance racing was boring  laugh

Usually I hate, and can't drive rear engine cars, but this GT40 is almost drivable. I can send my setup
which is very easy listening to you if you want pete?

Wow, that was tense, if I hadn't fumbled in the pits I wouldn't have lost so much time.

GT seemed to be taking it pretty steady allowing both Matt and I to get past so I started to wonder if he was going to try and get through without changing tyres. I seemed to struggle picking out my breaking marking down the back straight letting both back through again, but then was pushing hard and hit the back of GT in the slow lefthander after the first corner, which dropped me back a little too far In the end so was rueing the mistake.

all the talk about the'new' pit sequence was confusing as the menu didn't look any different, but a manual pit lane speed does feel like your in control more. But on entry to pit lane I didn't correct for the slight kink to the entry and hit the pit wall spinning me around! carried on, 3 sec waiting time was annoying but I guess is it to do with positioning?

Ended up after people stopped to be about 4-5secs behind Matt and tried to focus on closing him down but was struggling. It was only when Matt and GT were racing each other that the gap was reducing and could see them more and more in the corners ahead. On the last lap It looked like they were fighting each other so managed to dive up the inside lol. couldn't believe it! 

I don't feel the pitstops are any different to say GTR2. It is difficult to drive around and work out the pit fule and change it while driving. I ended up with 30L left so miscalculated.

Pete you've been driving longer than me, I find it amazing you struggle so much and have no idea on setups?

pitstop strat: change tires, add fuel (safe)

pitstop 1: confirming was not available, just jumped from tires to cancel - was a drivethrough then
pitstop 2: confirmed, tires were changed, fuel was not added

....
