Season 31 Historic Trophy – Round 3 - Montjuich Park
Welcome to the third round of the Historic Trophy at Montjuich Parque, a street circuit on Montjuich mountain above Barcelona. A twisty tricky circuit, it was the site of the tragic 1975 Spanish Grand Prix. Many drivers felt that the circuit was unsafe, and two time world champion Emerson Fittipaldi withdrew in protest before the start of the race. On lap 26 the Embassy Hill-Lola car of Rolf Stommelen left the track, killing five people. The race was subsequently stopped at half distance and half points awarded, with Jochen Mass being recorded as the winner. Lella Lombardi became the first female driver to score world championship points, taking 0.5 points for 6th place. Formula One never returned to the circuit after the accident.
This race is for cars with 2 Litre engines.

I think I may give this one a miss. The historics have not been very kind in the first two races; Zolder I didn't get past t1, I wasn't quick, a little brain fade from me didn't help I admit, maybe I need to practice on how to negotiate a stationary car, I got stuck on a bank=DNF. At Pancine I was at the business end but mistakes meant another DNF, at the time I believe I was taken out, twice, but I watch the replay and see it from others POV and not necessarily all their fault so I leave it, life is too short, tho a reset would of helped. This will be a mess! pros in slow cars, ams in fast cars, no run off and no reset. Ocamon anyone? I wish you all the best of luck!

The slower cars are not that much slower at Montjich. Good luck to those racing today.

It doesn't have to be! I suspect Tristan could beat me in a pedal car around here. So that fact that he is limited to a Group I or II car won't make any difference in his grid position compared to me and the rest of the "Ams". The "Pros" will still be at the front. But hopefully it will mean we won't get lapped quite as quickly. The handicapping just prevents the championship being a series of spec races with everyone in the fastest car and it also stops someone running away with the championship. You are quite right about the lack of run-off and no shift-R. We will all have to be sensible at T1 and T2 on lap 1 with cold tyres.

It is quite a graphics intensive track. I assume you get the same drop in FPS when testing off-line? I'm not aware of any server settings I can change that would help. Unless I am mistaken?

Yes the falls fps happen offline also, but only near T1 and less than server, my fear is with full grid I try to lower detalis at minimum, with only texture track and wall visible

COMMENT REDACTED IN INTEREST OF oh, mustn't offend anyone, it's not their fault when whatever the **** happens.
Best of luck to whoever punted me onto the wall.
edit: this season is MEANINGLESS, the points are MEANINGLESS, the races are MEANINGLESS, whoever ends up winning this shitfest, guess what? You didn't win anything except a f***ing coin flip. Enjoy the rewards of your "skill" and "practice".

First engine explosion of season 31.I was accustomed to a great reliability but this time was not so.Is a shame because a sixth is not usual for me.

Dean, I've reduced the font in your post as it was making the thread difficult to read. If you have been involved in an incident, submit an incident report. Don't shout on the forums.
Everyone else, please submit incident reports ASAP.
