Season 31 Historic Trophy – Round 7 - Mont-Tremblant
Circuit Mont-Tremblant is a 4.26 km (2.65 mi) race circuit about 13 km (8.1 mi) south of the village of Mont-Tremblant, Quebec, Canada. The name of the village of Saint-Jovite was often included in the name of the circuit, but since the village was amalgamated into Mont-Tremblant in the year 2000, it is no longer considered or functions as an independent entity since then.
The first two sections of the circuit were built in 1964 and extended by another mile into September 1965. The extension featured long straights and by virtue of the terrain, a small hill. Nicknamed "the Hump" it gained legendary status during the inaugural 1966 Can Am race. Two drivers in practice found that their cars, both near identical Lola T70 CanAm cars, launched themselves into the air. Both drivers emerged unhurt but were unable to compete in the race. The Canadian winters quickly rendered the track surface very bumpy and as a result, the attrition rate was quite high in the two Canadian Grand Prix Formula One events staged at the circuit. Of the 40 cars entered in those two races (20 each, in 1968 and 1970), 21 reached the checkered flag (with only 16 classified – the rest finishing too far behind the race winners).
This race is for cars with 2 Litre engines.

Seriously, Axel? How much of the *bleeping* track do you WANT??? Taking points for that performance, too, I'll bet. Yeah, the guilty party carries on again, while the victim is out, no points, stats suffer due to other's, what, greed? Incompetence? What's the excuse reason? After Panchine, Montjuich, now this? To hell with this season.

Some error and some little touch with other cars but this was a good test for my engine reliability.I think to have found the problem and the next race at Monza with the 67 could confirm.

Seems like I'm finally getting used to the clutch and H-shifter. Had a good battle with David and Fran before dropping back after a couple of spins due to missing gears.
Grats to the podium, some very fast times up front!!

Sorry Dean was my fault, did not see you and had no idea where you are... And you've never, ever, heard of F10 view, or side glances, or that moving across the track when you don't know the way is clear is a REALLY BAD IDEA (see Montjuich this season for another example). But hey, you got to finish, on the podium no less, keeping a tight hold on your 2nd place in the championship, so all's good, right? You rock, pal.

Dean If you have a problem with a specific incident, please raise an incident report and, as the moderator for this division, I will look at it. I'm not going to get involved in a debate on the driver's forum. You have a very good understanding of the rules and it is helpful to have your unput but please via the reporting system. Regards Phil

Well, I sure enjoyed that one. After Tris' unfortunate disco & Alessandro's spin on lap 2, I spent half my race trying to break the two from Johnny 'O. We were closely matched but I managed to keep just enough of a gap to prevent him having a go at passing me. Sorry to hear real life got in the way Johnny, I was enjoying that scrap. After he disco'd I had a decent cushion ahead of Clive, so it was a case of bringing to car home. Almost managed a whole race without spinning, but lost the back end at the exit of The Esses a few laps from the end. Dave Ranier had to let me through twice due to my incompetence . Sorry about that. Congrats to Clive & Axel for rounding off the podium.

Dave Ranier had to let me through twice due to my incompetence . Sorry about that. My dream would be to have the same level of incompetence than the leader of this serie (with 75 points more than the 2nd) Grats for you great win ! Bad luck for Tristan Alessandro is often on pole position but also often make fatal mistakes I had a pleasant race trying to overtake Francesco and Phil, I had to wait for their errors. I noticed Francesco is more and more quick, race after race !

Not really in my opinion, what i have done is a correction on my gas pedal that was(i think)the cause of so many engine explosion. Monza with 67 could be a good test.

Alessandro is often on pole position but also often make fatal mistakes Unfortunately this is so Starting from pole and saw no problem behind me with a little margin on second, I don't forced the rhythm of my first laps, and I don't forced the entry inthe hairpin but.. I spinned, my mistake and hope no problem for Samb that tried to dodge me But when I accelerated for restart my engine broke out Compliments for win Samb, you're very fast and consistency and at podium on this difficult track
