Chances are I won't make this tonight. Knackered from yesterdays track day and had zero practise either. I probably won't score any points either so I'll skip.

Windows update? I had to install one just before starting up Steam today.
I keep them on manual for this reason as I've had them (and stuff like AV updates) knock games to the background while they do their thing Roll Eyes

Had a couple of good battles tonight but my pace appears to be rubbish for the Lambo - I guess that having 45 minutes to learn the track and make a setup didn't help but still not happy Sad

Big Thanks to the 17 drivers that did turn up  Smiley feared the worst with the amount of people saying they couldn't make it.

Had a reasonable race but only real highlight was staying with the front pack for a few laps, otherwise I was on my own for most of the race with only Eck keeping a reasonable distance to me, usually about 8 secs behind and closing.

I gambled on two sets of softs as had no spare time to test mediums. They were good for about 10 laps then steadily cost me time as they wore out.
Pitted a lap early in my first stint as tyres were fubared and had hoped to put meds on but got no chance too with the pit menu ,that I could see , so got softs and a longer second stint on them  Shocked
Seemed to be a decent enough strategy for a top 8 finish but Eck started catching me rapidly at the end.
We had a short sharp fight but both span off after contact at t1 with about 2 laps remaining.
I don't know who's fault it was as I had no way of looking back or sideways in my cockpit to see where he might be (lost all settings and controllers with my rebuild) so I just took my normal line as I had my nose ahead (I think). Need to see the replay and if it turns out my fault I'll swap race positions with Eck in the standings...but only if clear cut  angel
Finished 8th. Should have used mediums and may have been able to fight with Nfsw and Maikel this eve. Undecided

Congrats to winner and podium whoever it was   Smiley. ( for second race in a row the race ended abruptly with no chance to see the standings! - Pete, a server setting?)

:'( :'(  Cant get under the 2 minute mark, going to be another trying evening in the Nisvan.

Bah your not pushing hard enough, Maikel was doing 1.55's in that car last time we raced here  Wink

Last time around I was in the Mercedes ( nfsw was in the Nissan ) and that was quite a few versions ago, the cars, and tyres, have changed quite abit now.

@Bob, I can put my setup on stracker tonight if that helps. Though the Nissan still feels too "floaty".
I'm using the 488 @ Core and that thing drives so much better. It actually has grip.  Grin

Well the 488 might be a nice drive, it was uncompetitive on this track unfortunately. I found if you take off some rear wing it has better top speed, but it gets to twitchy in the fast turns to be driveable. Turned out to be a frustrating race pace wise sadly. I had a decent pit strategy which put be back up a couple of places, only to lose it again to much faster cars on the long straight.
I certainly hope Spa is a bit kinder for my Fezza..

The server is still set with a post race timer of 300 seconds. Unless there is a new setting I don't know/understand that overrides this they've added a bug.

Another lonely race for me, apart from the first 3 laps and the last 3 laps.
Jeffrey pitted quite early and I decided to go on, cause I knew that he would found some people to overtake and he would probably lose some more time than me with free track.
Unfortunately my pace was not so good, and with some mistakes here and there Jeffrey was able to retake the third position after my pit with a half second of advantage.
I tried to attack him in the last couple of laps, but was pushing too hard for my weared tyres, so my car had a half spin at the penultimate corner.

Grats to Massimo and Gavino for their super pace, and to Jeffrey, cause he never give up  Grin Thanks to every driver who joined the event and for the fairness of the lapped drivers. I'm sorry if sometimes I had to break some of their battles, but I always found you during the third sector  :'( Grin

See you for the next Smiley

My great pit stop strategy  Roll Eyes was brought up on the fly Cheesy. After 2 laps I saw front 2 guys driving off and I didn't feel like looking behind me the whole race and fencing off Matteo. I felt more like having an attacking race, so I decided to pit early and drop back down the grid and have some fun trying to overtake some cars. Another reason was, I didn't want to come out of the pits with worn and cold tyres, now they were cold but still good.

Was surprised to see the Merc keeping up on the straights. I thought the Lambo's top speed would see me fly past them on the straight, but I could barely keep up with the Mercs Shocked. Especially Eck's Merc was very fast in the twisty section before the straight, also because of his soft tyres, that I couldn't try anything so I had to drive closer to the limit to get stuck in.

Lost quite a bit of time with the battles, but that was expected, so I didn't think I would come close to Matteo after his stop, but he came out right infront of me. Quite hard to spot a blue Lambo on a blue hypnotizing track. I knew I had to pull a gap the first lap while his tyres were still cold.

This is one of the best tracks IMO, the laps flew by.

It is a great track, I enjoy racing here.  Cool I just went wrong way on tyres  :'(

Did anyone get any fps loss or shudders last night during the race? I got them a couple of times when people pitted or went off track - crazy considering the spec i am now running  Roll Eyes but do wonder if the track mod and cameras need an update to catch up with all the kunos updates since the track was created.  Undecided
