Iain and JohnnyDee are side by side down the start finish straight, as they approach the braking point Iain loses control and taps the side of Johnnys' car.

  • Racing incident

Server replay time: 2040s

Exiting the right hander to come onto the back straight, JohnnyDee taps the back of Moomin causing Johnny to lose momentum. Shark gains rapidly on Johnny and theres side contact resulting in Johnny spinning out. The net cause of the incident was Johnnys loss of momentum after tapping Moomin.

All members welcome.

Date: Thursday 27th July

Practice: 20:30 (15 mins)
Qualifying: 20:45 (20 mins)
Race: 21:05 (35 laps = ~40 mins)

Cars allowed: Ford Mustang, Ford Falcon, Alfa Romeo GTA, Lotus Cortina
Time of day: 14:00

Server: UKGTL Ladder; in the event that the lobby is unavailable, connect using Direct IP, entering games.avonrise.co.uk in the Add IP box
Password: See this post

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules. Note in particular that we will be using the new pit lane speed limiter starting procedure.
(3) General information on the ladder can be found on the series home page.
(4) The season will be run using a UKGTL carpack v1.1 which will need to be installed prior to racing.

Mustangs Rule. But the chicane is likely to be the scene of some carnage.

Falcon for me here, eventhough the Alfa could be the faster one. Just love the Falcon too much. Grin Now where is that Shark paint scheme for that car??? Tongue

Edit: Wait a second, the Alfa has better score...choices choices choices Grin

Go to the UKGTL Ladder page here and there is a scoring link at the top of the results table.

Would be nice if the scoring link was on the main page of the ladder too. *hint hint*

I meant the main UKGTL page (as it is the main (ONLY) UKGTL championship)...

Been trying the mustang and the alfa. Alfa seems a bit faster 3-5 tenths on average but from what I understand of the car rankings you'd get more points for taking the faster car. Is it just me or anyone else find the Alfa faster?

I want to drive the Mustang because hopefully I can get some of Steve Mcqueens cool by association and it sounds good. If I drove the Alfa would that make me a big Tart?

If only there was a Dodge Charger around that would make me go faster in the Mustang

The Alfa is only faster here because it's an unusually short track with some very tight corners.

Another race, another throttle-related disaster. Not helped by Firefox popping up an update dialog and stealing my gear change buttons.
