The "T" is almost but not quit silent. "t'Sookooobah".

I won't do any more GTL races unless we agree to turn off the black flags. At least it's not just me getting the thin edge of the GTL cutting code wedge.

Where does that leave us with real corner cutting though?

And, if we turn off black flags, does that also lose blue and yellow flags?

It would be too much work Madd and to be honest probably impossible as some of the places people like Gizmo have been done for cutting you wouldn't even think of to adjust in the files. After the fact we might be able to find some glaring errors in the AIW files for places people have complained about but it would be after the race really (so too late for that race) and you might not see anything at all. GTL is certainly a lot stricter than GTR or GTR2 on the cutting. I don't think it's all down to tigther lines in the AIW files, I think there is much stricter cutting code built into the actual game.

P.S. Yes I think the original tracks also have their AIW encrypted some how cause they don't include AIW "neat" in the Location folders like GTR2 does.

This is a fun 'lil track... has to be my trusty 906 for this one.

Just wanted to say i'm all for turning the flags off on 3rd party tracks if it makes it more fun for everyone... thats what its meant to be anyway and i'm sure none of us will take the mick with corner cutting (and probably doesnt save that much time anyway) - anything has got to be better than the frustration of false warnings!! Do yellows and blues actually do anything anyway??

These are the options available to us on the server and this is what I believe them to mean:

"None" - no flags.
"Black Only" - this seems to actually mean; blacks, plus local yellows for accidents and blues for lappers.
"Full" - this means; blacks, yellows for local accidents, blues for lapping, and full course yellows for "big" accidents.

Yellows and Blues are shown regardless of settings but with "Black Only" the game does not enforce them or deploy the safety car.

:'( I'm gonna have to miss this one, partner's having an operation on Friday, don't think she'd see the positive side of me disappearing to race for the evening before!!

Shame, I dunno the track, but I would have loved to chuck the CSL around, in such a good mix of cars.

Hopefully make the next one though (and try out the non-laggy wired connection!).  Hope you all have a good one.

Any thoughts on cars for this one? I've tried the BMW and the 906 Porky. The BMW I found a bit 'heavy' around the bends, and the gearing can't be set right for the tight track - wants to bog down in first round the tighter bends. The 906 is quite nice, because it's good around the tight'n'twisties. Anyone tried the others here? RSR and 914-6?

(BMW lap was about 1 second slower that the 906. 906 was just under the 1minute mark.)
