Moderator's Report

Backo's Alfa gets a slight overlap on Simon's Mini approaching the corner. Simon leaves some room but Backo does not and forces his way past. The contact is minor, but barging in order to gain a position is not acceptable. In the more powerful car, with a little patience Backo should have been able to make a clean pass on a straight.

  • BACKOpenalty — Side-by-side contact. — 2 places lost (plus 8 for penalty points)

It's a shame GTL doesn't do rain, otherwise this one would HAVE to be a wet race.  Grin

Judging by the usual conditions at Knockhill, I think GTL would need a 'monsoon' option!   Cheesy

A really fun track (like all this season; thanks go to Mark J for suggesting some of them and obviously Simon for arranging such a great list of events, should generate a good turnout, hope I don't miss any of them!).  It WILL be a miracle of good driving if we all make through T1/2 without any offs, very tight in there.

Roll on the 16th.....perhaps I'll try a mini after long ignoring it.

Might see if I can make this one since it's my local track.

It's hardly Knockhill without the rain. Got soaked again at the weekend after going to have a look at the rallycross championship.

NoGrip's Hotlaps are a good guide http://www.nogripracing.com/hotlaps/gtl.php?do=times&track=176&car=0&class=1

I'll be happy if I can get the Mini round in less than 1:04.

I've been struggling to get a setup that's sufficient enough to keep the car on the track, and I can only muster 1:04:6s in the Alfa atm, it's gonna be tough to shave another second or two off of that without the risk of spinning on that fast uphill turn.

If I download and install some new sounds for the Alfa, will it affect me when I try to join the server?

I'm not thinking it should, as sound files should be client side only, and that the config of other player's wouldn't have to be changed.

Just wanna check before I bother dloading them.

If it only changes the WAV files it'll be okay. You only have a problem if the .CAR or .HDC files are changed I think.
