I believe there may be a Race 07 'add-on' due for release late March 08, does anyone know any more on this?

Nothing concrete although there may be an Aston involved, so GT3 or GT4 Cup?

My tank only seems to fill to 12 laps, I take it this is a fault and there is enough fuel for 14 laps and this race does not include a pit stop?

Fuel consumption isn't necessarily accurate... plus it's affected by driving style.

I had a quick shot earlier and I can't get to grips with this game at all.

I have soooooooo much understeer in the Caterham and can't seem to cure it. I normally use the simbin set up as a base and it's normally ok, but here I can't do anything.

I just make too many mistakes and find myself giving up through frustration.

How does others manage?

What times are people getting? Just curious to see how much slower I am.

I don't rate the Simbin set-ups in the Caterhams at all Huh
Something over 2 minuets per lap for me atm.
.... I think I'm going to shorten each race to just 10 laps.

Simbin setups suck. Try mine from Oschersleben, OR, try one of my other ones from the Team Shark forums. The Anderstorp setup should be ok for Instanbul.

The Caterhams are awfully understeery until you sort out the setup.

I can't dial out the understeer on these at all. Their saving grace is that you can boot the throttle and have some lairy oversteer Grin

A bit more fun than I thought.

I was doing ok in practice and had a stable set up.

I clicked on chat and server restart was there and before I had the chance to save it, connection lost.

Started out again and the car was very snappy.

Was delighted with 3rd on the grid but I suddenly remembered I had not practiced any standing starts. I was swallowed up at the start.

I had close battles throughout the race, it was fun but I find these cars a bit nervous to run very close without feeling I might give a little bump to the driver ahead.

Finished 5th and I was happy at that.

Started race 2 and I was one of the first on grid. When Dave joined his car started off the same slot as me. Our cars were overlapping one another. Not sure what to do I let Dave pull away and I was swallowed up again.

Chasing Simon I lost the car and hit the barrier. This must have damaged the steering as the car was pulling over the the left.

It was hard to control but as soon as I braked it was diving violently so I thought it was best to give up.

Nice win first race Bara, and nice one to who wins the second

Thanks for organising Don, I had a lot of fun driving the Caterhams (sideways). In fact I had more fun in those 20 laps of Caterhams than I've had in GTR2 in a long time.  Grin

Started race 2 and I was one of the first on grid. When Dave joined his car started off the same slot as me. Our cars were overlapping one another. Not sure what to do I let Dave pull away and I was swallowed up again.

My connection was starting to play up again (less than two days until I switch); the first sign was in the first race when the gaps went crazy and didn't resolve themselves, then the grid slot went horribly wrong (quite how the game manages to get that wrong I don't know!).

First race wasn't too bad, sort of enjoyed it but let too many people slip by with a stupid mistake and then just couldn't catch them again.

Second race started okay and got a good start to move up into 2nd; nearly ran into Backo on one apex (I think I need to tweak my field of view to match my GTR2 one), then made more stupid mistakes to slip back to about 8th. Then just as a good battle with (I think) JPS1 was shaping up, I had a few big warps and got a stop and go. I should've taken the hint and quit but did the stop and pootled round in last place with no prospect of seeing anyone again to pick up some pathetically low position.

At least my machine didn't crash - I think removing the SB Xi-Fi card did the trick.

TBH it's not my favourite circuit anyway, just can't seem to be consistent. Brands should be a lot better. Smiley
