Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 1528s

SG is drafting RM down the back straight; RM is on the far left of the track, and SG pulls out to the right to look down the outside into 130R. As he does so, RM moves back to the right to take the line into 130R, but fails to account for SG's proximity and there is light front to rear contact.

It's only luck that there isn't a huge accident; RM moved back to the right far too late. His report indicates that he didn't realise SG was so close, but having committed to defend the left side of the track he had no right to move over to the right when SG had clearly committed to go right to attempt to pass or compromise RM's line into 130R

Please note this is using an slightly updated version of the track with adjusted tyre temperature multipliers so make sure if you've installed v2.9.0.0 before that you uninstall it first and then install the new version (v2.9.0.1).

Please also note there is some strange shadow bug around 130R. You can either put up with it being there or if you turn your shadow settings down to medium then you won't see the problem.

Does anyone know where i can find a TT replay of Suzuka in a Ferrari 550 with Alien skill level? I want to use it as a guide to setup my gear ratios and find my lines (I am no Alien but I find the Alien replays the best guides Grin ). I have tried the most popular sites that I can think of and the replays available in the on-line replays in game I could not get to work.

Any help is most appreciated, thanks.

It's no use finding TT laps from anywhere other than this place. As the F550 is ballasted and has less power than the normal F550. Also this Suzuka has a different GDB file which changes grip level.

Nuts!

Good point Ruskus, thanks for the info.

As there is only one class of car, does this mean that I should compromise my race line more when being blue flagged than I would in the LE or UE races?

No. Don't compromise your line. It is up to the lapping car to go round you, not for you to move out of its way. However, as you say, with the cars being of comparable speed then lifting off the throttle a little to help the other car pass cleanly is by far the best way to let them through.

Was the test race with the Elises done with 2.9.0.0? While I joined then np, I get booted now as a posible cheat - no matter which car I take.  Sad

The Elise race used the old version, you will need to download the 2.9.0.1 version, it has an improved GDB file. Very good edit Simon, new GDB is like default tracks  thumbup1
