Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 316s

JPS starts wide and cuts across, and slams, both Sandow and Will into Stowe. They had effectively passed him and are in front by this point. JPS explains that he didn't see them due to technical problems and this is exactly how it looks, so we have no reason to doubt him.

We would expect drivers to end their race if they have any inkling of technical issues that could affect others. However, this was JPS's first GTL race and he was simply not aware that this was the case. Therefore no penalty is warranted.

  • JPS (JPS1)advice — Leave the race if you realise you are experiencing technical problems.

Race: 20:50 (25 laps = ~40 mins)

Time of Day Setting: 12:00

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page
(4) The season will be run using the UKGTL Skin Pack 1.6 which will need to be installed prior to racing; please get it from the downloads page.

Just a bump so everyone spots the change of date and realises that this our next championship event. Cross fingers, touching wood and all that  Smiley

Thx for sorting that Simon.

No probs SBG, glad to be of service. I know the LM2i can be a bit daunting for this sort of thing and then rearranging the calendar and updating the post dates and so on all needs to be done. I think I got everything. Smiley

Yes it was. Its simply been moved from its date after the Enduro's to before them Smiley We should all have sufficient practice time? Well, there's never enough but you know what I mean.

Now have my new ISP - BT.  Only been active about an hour and I had stable PingPlotter pings of 25 over 10 samples and repeatable download in the 4800 area.  Grin

With VM my service was terribly variable and performance decreased with time until in the 2015 to 2100 period the lag was too much to drive safely. taz

So I hope to be at Silverstone with my 906 raring to go.

My BMW's tank only seems to hold enough fuel for 19 laps, I take it this race includes a pit stop?

No pitstop, the ingame calculation is wrong. When I drove the Vette here in the 60 minute race I could almost make it on 1 tank, so the BMW should easily make 40 minutes Grin

Yep, apologies for that JPS. We did discuss the fuel calculations problems at Silverstone test race but should have added them here as well. Welcome to UKGTL by the way Smiley

The Vette sounds the most fun but I'll need to do some testing before I commit to being a kamikaze pilot Smiley
