Moderator's Report

Lorenzo wins his second race, pulling out a decent margin on the following pack. 2nd to 6th are all nicely bunched up, so nothing's certain at this stage of the season.

Don't you just love Masters rules ;-)?

Server replay time: 0h02m03s

Syd is too fast into Tabac and rear-ends Clive.

As this is lap 1, it attracts an additional 1 place penalty.

  • Syd Drakepenalty — Rear-end shunt — 3 places lost

Steady qually and steady race. No point trying to run with Lorenzo and Hristo so I just tried to keep it on the black stuff. I ran wide early on at Virage de la Gare and Kruger nipped through. We did touch but thankfully we both survived unscathed. Soon after Kruger spun at Gazometres and I was back through. For the remainder of the race I watched my pitboard and maintained the gap. I did try to up the pace at times but I just couldn't seem to string a whole lap together without some minor error somewhere. I was gifted 2nd when Hristo slipped up. I think he was doing my trick of circulating on three wheels hoping for some retirements for a little while after that.  Smiley

I think that might be the Lotus put away now. I'm not a fan of Zandvort but I'm really looking forward to the sequence of addon tracks. Laguna and Pau are amongst my favourite circuits.

I don't know what is it with my driving in Masters this season... Just can't put a good race together.

My apologies to Ken and Syd for contacts, it was fortunate enough not to have caused any damage.

Taking the Honda really wasn’t the smartest idea, but I had a setup for it and I’ve got to race it here in another league pretty soon, so I thought why not. As I said in chat it’s a bit like getting a whale to do a Seaworld show in your bath tub. Anyway, lap 3 would be the last time I hit the brakes entering the swimming pool.

No apology needed for our little kiss! You just took the opportunity presented to you. I didn't realise you were that close to be honest but the lack of peripheral vision is even more pronounced in those tight hairpins so I had no idea you had come up the inside. My only option if I had of known you where there was to stop, because there just isn't enough room to squeeze two cars through on the exit there.   Smiley

What happened to eventually force you out?

After the spin which you witnessed, I lost places to Syd and John and then tried to do put some pressure on John who wasn't having any of that and only thing I put the pressure on were the tyres. I then slid across the armco with my lefts and overheated them and tried to slow down to cool them off but then made mistakes one after another.

It then felt as stuffing down my throat something I really don't like to eat so quitting lingered on my mind and eventally I did just that.

It took me two laps to make that decision when I encountered bad luck in the Historic race. Not a place to linger if you're not enjoying it.   Smiley

Great race!
I did a good lap in qualifying  and got the pole, with Hristo very close to me...
The start was pretty good and i was able to came out of the 1rst corner as the leader, but Hristo was definately faster and made a big pressure on me and i did a mistakes, so he passed me...
He pulled away and after some laps the gap was increasing, but he made a mistakes on tha last hairpin and after break a wheel....
The rest of the race was quite and got the win...
Grats to all the finishers!
