Moderator's Report

Server replay time: 3116s

Sandor runs into the gravel and spins the car when he regains the track. He ends up broadside on the track just off the racing line. Sandor starts to get going at the exact moment sbg appears over the brow, and with Sandor filling the racing line sbg cannot avoid and they collide.

Pretty marginal, Sandor may well have checked the track before he started moving, and sbg was barely visible, but he would have been clearly audible and Sandor should have hit the brakes when he heard him, leaving space for sbg to pass. However, since it was a hard angle to check and sbg was barely visible when Sandor started moving, only 1 place lost.

AMENDED - sbg didn't want any penalty applied (but didn't tick the no penalty box) so now reduced to warning.

All members welcome.

Practice: 20:15 (10 mins)
Qualifying: 20:25 (25 mins)
Race: 20:50 (42 laps = ~80 mins)

Track: Brands Hatch (GP) v1.0  (download here)
Cars allowed: Any TC65 excluding the Alfa, and the Lotus Elite.
Time of Day Setting: 18:00
Start: STANDING
Pit Stops: You must make a minimum of one pit stop during which you must take on at least 1 litre of fuel or change your tyres. You cannot take your mandatory stop at the end of the pace lap, or with less than 1 lap to go.

Server: UKGTL Classics Cup
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.ukRules.
(3) The season will be run using the UKGTL Skin Pack 1.6 which will need to be installed prior to racing; please get it from the downloads page.
(4) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car

If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit pit crew chief has proved most reliable.

(5) Driver lists can be found on the championship standings page

They made this game see, called it "GT Legends". In this game, you race an Alfa around various circuits. It's an awesome game. But, to please a larger crowd, they added a lot of fluff, Cobras, Fezza's, Pantys, GT 40's and all that jazz, so even those who did not realize the magnificence of the Alfa would be drawn in.

I am going to try and make this one (great circuit). I have had to do a complete reinstall and I have forgotton how to get to the the following file:

Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car

Please treat me as a complete novice when it comes to computers, step by step please. Smiley
Thanks in advance to anyone that can help.

Navigate to your GTL install.

Inside the GTL folder you will find another folder called 'UserData'. double click that folder and you will then have another folder in your name (JPS1)

Inside that folder is a file called 'JPS1.PLR'. Open that in notepad and scroll down to the appropriate lines, alter them as above and save the file again.

Done.  Smiley

Thank you for helping me out Psuedo.

I tried to install the track, but when I go into the sim in just crashes as I press the 'Go Race' button with Brands selected.
I downloaded Le Mans without any issues.
I used Win Rar for both although the Brands file seem to break up and did not come up with a simple locations folder as did Le Mans. Has this got something to do with Mod Man. :'(

Plus I don't seem to be getting any force feed back effects in GTL. I use a G25 and have gone through the set up page under controls and enabled Full Feed back, however unlike GTR2 it doesn,t seem to have G25 listed under the Force Feeedback page.

I have just re-downloaded and installed the track with no problems.

when you open the download in winrar, you should see a folder called GameData. Single click this folder to highlight it and then extract directly to your GTL folder. This will place all the files into the locations folder but will not disrupt anything else.
You don't need to worry about the 'extra' files created by ModMan....just ignore them.

As for FF, GTL was released before the G25 was made so it doesn't contain a specific profile for it....the MoMo Racing profile seems to be a pretty good one though.
Also make sure you have the 'reverse effects' checkbox ticked.

Yep that is definitely quick Sooty, did you notice we're recruiting?  Grin

Think its gonna have to be the Cortina here too, it's a lovely car and really nice that the Alfa's not about to give it a spanking for a change  Grin
