UKGPL Season 16 - Inter-league race - Solitude

This is the tenth and last race in our current Inter-League season, and will use the 67 cars.  Our guests will be the European Online Challenge, possibly the strongest league we'll race this season and 2009 will be their tenth year of racing.  The race is scheduled at the usual earlier time of 20:00GMT.   Each club is to field nine cars, and there are no chassis handicaps, drivers will be racing to complete the distance and score points for their team- on this occasion you have to avoid being lapped more than once to finish.  We'll use the standard carset for this race.  The start at Solitude can be very tricky, so extra caution may be required.  Let's have the usual warm UKGPL welcome for our guests from EOLC!

Please be in VROC UKGPL chatroom passworded 'Savage' by 19:55GMT, (You will need to set up a channel called #ukgpl if you haven't already done so)
Vroc and Race passwords: see above

Appologies for blaming GPFun's server for my bad connection, it appears my ISP is providing bad service for the past week or so, it's usually been ok so I didn't think it was my end that's causing the warp.
Count me in for this one.

If you can tolerate the possibility of another DNF  Undecided   I will give it a go.
I think we need to get Ken Murray into our team for this one, ..from memory he loves Solitude,

Count me out for this one, I don't know the track at all, it'd take me too long to learn it effectively. I wish you good luck though. Smiley

It must be at least 4 years since I drove this in a 67 Shocked
If you want me to run around at the back again like Monza (only hopefully a bit less off the pace this time  Embarrassed ) then I'll start re-learning it as soon as I'm happy with a setup for Monza in the 65's  Grin

LOL

That would be most appreciated; particularly that leap in the air at the kink on the straight.  Straitening out the second part of the lap so that I don't have to remember which tree is which would be great too.  Grin

But it won't help much.  I shall be at Heathrow to put my son on a flight to Australia.

Thinking about it, I may actually make it home in time but wife will have lost her one and only son for twelve months and will be a) feeling low and b) TURNING ALL HER ATTENTION ON TO ME!!!!!

Still doesn't look good.

 Shocked Bad luck Clive  Wink

Anyway, have been reacquainting myself with Solitude and have noted my lap times with a race worth of fuel to help whomever is being Capt  Smiley
Red times are cars I really don't enjoy racing here or crashed allot, yellow are cars I enjoyed or was just particularly good at not inserting into the scenery  angel
White cars I don't mind either way, and all of the times qouted should in theory at least come down with some minor tweaks to the setup (or just more laps in most cases - I know I can get at least another second off the Honda with a clean lap)  Smiley

Cooper  = 3:34.5
Honda   = 3.35.7

BRM      = 3.37.1
Brabham= 3.33.9
Eagle    = 3.31.5
Ferrari   = 3.32
Lotus    = 3.30

Feel free to bung me in whatever you fancy  Grin

I suppose I should make an effort to turn out for this. I'd take anything but a Honda and only a BRM at a push!!

If there's a place I have a mid 3.32 in Ferrari, but I can cope also in Cooper, Brabham or whatever Smiley

I've never raced at solitude before. So I will be a reserve and drive if needed. I'd prefer one of the slower cars, but I'll drive whatever is needed. Smiley

Might be tempted with the Honda here, or whatever suits the team. I recently lost all of my setups  so whatever I am asked to drive will be an adventure. But I do like the circuit, just not sure if the circuit likes me??

C'mon Napo get that BRM out of the garage and burn some rubber!!!
