UKGPL Season 17 - Inter-League race - Spa-Francorchamps

This is the ninth Interleague race of our season 17, and will use the 67 carset.  Our guests will be our great rivals GBGPL, who have yet to defeat us after two races.  However the second of them last season was very close, with Hristo taking the win in front of Roo and Bosse.  GBGPL have been hampered by the temporary absence of their veteran organiser Pete, we all wish Pete the best for his recovery.  Hopefully one or more of the drivers who race in both leagues will be able to take over responsibility for this race.  Each league is to field nine cars, and there are no chassis handicaps, drivers will be racing to complete the distance and score points for their team.  The usual spirited greetings please, for our guests and friends from GBGPL!

Spa, ooh lovely. I do a GPL race tomorrow there, so Eagle for me please! If you want me to, I can go for Lotus or BRM.

If we are racing at Spa... just wonder why main title says Silverstone??  or are we trying to confuse the enemy??

I'd expect to be in a position to go to bat for the club in this one.  Ferrari or BRM would be just fine, ty.

I guess you know my preferences by now, or rather my dislikes , but whatever is available will do me.

Looks like GBGPL are scraping a team together, Will Tway is trying to get them organised. It looks like they might be pulling in a couple of fast guys to beef up their chances, so we need to have some pace at the front of the field.

For the moment I will take the Honda as it is more likely to find a driver for the Brabham, but I'm happy to switch back if a wandering samurai turns up.

A good race at Spa last night had me improving my PB in the Eagle by 2 hundredths of a second. There's a second or two to find at Spa at LEAST!

Fuel consumption runs this morning...and in turning only a handful of laps...has me in at a 3:21.78 as best.  Likely to improve slightly by race day.
