I will not make it to this one. I will be racing at Summit Point in my RX7.

I'm sorry - that's a bloody daft excuse.  I mean ... Summit Point? Really?

Cheesy

Good luck Mike.

I'm still hoping to make this one ... pc woes may knacker it though.

My motherboard gave out last Thursday ... Dell XPS machine ... lovely looking case ... but it'll only fit a BTX mobo without a massive amount of work....

Decided to go with a cheap and cheerful mobo, case ... psu and CPU heatsink (all are unique to Dell ... upgradable my arse).  Turns out ... the case was too cheap and nasty ... and not big enough to fit my graphics card in.

The case will get returned and a larger one ordered ... but it does mean a big delay for me Sad

I have been having a spiking (down) throttle pedal for a few weeks now which doesn't help. I just hold full throttle and it spikes down below full throttle frequently and often. Thankfully the spikes aren't too high, but I suspect I'm losing a tiny bit of time on the straights with it and have been for the last few races. Don't really want to fork out for a new wheel as there is nothing else wrong with my trusty G25.

At least Infineon doesn't have many long straights! Smiley

Damn, a couple of months ago I gave away the cable and unused pots from a set of G25 pedals. That would have fixed it for you.

No worries, might give me an excuse to get a G27, but even I can persuade the wife I'm not sure I can pursuade myself as they are stupidly overpriced.

What are the alternatives to Logitech?

LOL, doesn't even come with a useless shifter that no-one uses like the G2x does. Wink

There are pictures of a matching shifter circulating, but I bet that'll not be cheap either.

I'll be making it ... the PC is back up and running, although iRacing isn't as yet ... but will be in time for the race.

What's the consensus of oppinion on a practice server ... there's not really been much support for the praccy server for some time now.

The practice server for me personally isn't much use since on saturday night I'm almost always doing something involving beer. Also with the current car choice there's plenty of practice to be had in the regular Grand-Am series, imo.

I'll NOT make the race due to being unsure of controls, basically I'm having "issues" with my brake pedal sometimes it is perfect other times it's crazy  Undecided goes from small inconsistent braking to either full brake lock on or no brakes at all Huh

waiting on some new parts from Fanatec new PU-foam & load cell  Smiley

may give any practice server a run to see how it's playing up today  but won't enter a race knowing things could turn nasty like it did in an official race on Thursday {managed to not cause anybody any problems apart from myself  Roll Eyes }

Despite there being only 3 Mustangs it was a pretty decent race. Raimo and Rob chased me hard in the first stint on my full tank of fuel and when I over heated the tyres they really closed me down. I got some breathing space before the pit stops as Rob overtook Raimo. The second stint was much more routine so I tried, on my lower fuel load, to go for fastest lap. I thought with a mid 1:47 I would have that no problem as that was just shy of my pole time, but now I see Raimo managed to pip that time by a tiny fraction (nice one). As the race drew to a close I let off the gas and cruised home for the win I think about 20 seconds? ahead of Raimo.

Could have been a Team Shark 1-2 if Rob has listened to me about fuel but after he took 2nd place he put in another full tank of fuel and dropped back behind Raimo. He gave good chase (I was listening on TeamSpeak and watching the F3 all the time), but it wasn't meant to be.

Shame about the turnout again. That track was not as daunting in the Mustang as I expected so hope people weren't put off by the track.
