All members welcome.

Grid/server capacity: 28

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins)
Race: 20:40 (26 laps = ~60mins)

Track: Suzuka Download this

Cars allowed:

GROUP S5.0

Porsche 917K Download this Note: This is V2.0. If you have the older version you should un-install it and replace with this.]Download this[/url]

GROUP P3.0

Alfa Romeo T33-3 Download this

GROUP P2.0

Healey Repco XR37 Download this

McLaren M1A Download this

Chevron B16 Download this Note: This is a revised version which has improved sound and some other improvements. Also the Mazda powered car has been removed.

Drivers are reminded that the maximum number of drives in any group is five.

Time of Day Setting: 16:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org.uk WPC
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.
(4) Driver lists can be found on the Championship standings page

Special Notes: Some of the cars have a "Modern Compound" tyre choice. Can I ask that all drivers do not use these tyres please.

Collecting Sister in Law and Niece from our usual hostelry (The Churchill - Swindon West) on 8th and having lunch so don't know if I'll have time before hand to learn a new track. Will have to help the boss to get things ready for guests - with both of us being Virgos everything must be just so. yes

Sorry to Eif if I knackered you by rather pushing you in the Healey. Just thought it would make a better race and wasn't happy when you left early.

Think damn and blast sums up my race. Kept going off at the same places every other lap, it made Ade chuckle at least Grin Must have gone too wide into T1 three times before it finally did for me. Tried to get around with a puncture as I was having a blast but got stuck in the sand so no quick repair.

Good to be back racing anyways and with the 'glorious' summer behind us, you'll sadly see more of me now. Just what sim? Smiley

Results and replay now posted.

Thanks to everyone who turned out and thanks to Ginster for the "Let's all take the Healey" idea. Great fun, more tomorrow.

Great Car, great track,

It was indeed, enjoyed the race even though I spent most of it on my own.

Not quite on the pace of Ade & Ginsters in qually but hoped to stay somewhere near in the race. However I went off on lap 3 & bumped the barrier, after which the car had bad understeer in the fast corners & I was 3s+ off the pace. With Ginsters dropping out & Pelle making a pitstop, I came in 2nd.

Congrats to Ade & Alex  clap clap

No problem - i had similar difficulties with all other cars I tried (Alfa, Chevron B16) Roll Eyes
I wanted to use the Chevron BMW (although it obviously was the slowest car) but mysteriously online this car seemed to show a complete different behaviour. Huh No problems offline.
I had a catastrophic first lap and destroyed the car. That's racing. Hope to see better days soon
