Well, a lot has been said about GTR2, I remember writing looong posts about races. Undecided All I can say now it was one of the more enjoyable races I had. Not just 'cause I was fairly high at the end but 'cause I had close racing all of the race. Good stuff. Smiley

Very enjoyable till the pitstops. Non-stop action in fact, but a tame 2nd half by comparison.
Was fiddling with buttons on the pace lap & switched view to the next car Shocked, tried to pull off to the side (& hit a wall Roll Eyes) while I got back to my car Embarrassed
So started at the back & worked up to a jammy 4th in the end, with 0.01L as I crossed the line just meters ahead of an unlucky damaged Spanner Grin

Strange race last night.  Huh I only put in a few laps practice as it had been a very busy weekend and made a late decision to join in. I'm not sure if I've ever finished a race here before.  Shocked

I was expecting a nice gentle race behind the front runners, so was really suprised to be up on the front row at the start.  Shocked I assume the Supra must have been a good car on this track. I was lucky at the start to make the most of a mistake by H@l at T1 and benefited from some further incidents behind to get off to a great start.

I'm not used to leading a race by a decent margin at the end of lap one   Grin but seemed to have the pace to extend the lead further whilst the battles took place behind. It was a lonely race for me...although its always nice to make the most of a rare opportunity for a win.  Grin

Congrats to TT and H@L (nice recovery drive  Smiley). Looked like there was some good battles during the race.

There seems to be some problems with the replay file, I will see if I can sort it.

Immense race.

I was using the hard tyres and it took a while for them to warm up. I got done by several drivers in the first 2 corners and then I caused an incident on the 3rd corner and I was down the field a bit after that. I had an incredibly hard time making a move of anyone. I was faster over all but never on the straights against most drivers that I caught during my recovery. I really could have done with some DRS. Grin

Most difficult to pass were SRW, Matt Rowe and TT who were all defending very well.

I was on TT for the last few laps and decided to take a risk on the last lap as I had a 17 second gap behind. I managed to get the power down way to early coming out of a slow corner side by side with TT, I span then hit the wall and lost a wheel and I was actually very lucky to get 3rd after that.

I was pretty gutted to not be able to make good use of my pace and get 1st but, I had great fun and a real challenge trying to make a come back so the event was rather enjoyable. I had some excellent close racing and saw lots of action for most of the race.

Good stuff. Cool
