All members welcome.

Grid/server capacity: 28

Practice: ~19:20 (60 mins)
Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins)
Race: 20:40 (16 laps = ~40mins)

Track: Sepang Download this

Cars allowed: Alfa Romeo GTA, Ford Mustang, Lotus Cortina

This race will use the UKGTL Skin Pack 1.8.0.0.

Time of Day Setting: 10:00
Start: STANDING
Tyre wear: Normal
Fuel consumption: Normal

Server: simracing.org.uk WPC
Password: see above

Notes:
(1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage.
(2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules.
(3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read
Autopit="0"
Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car
If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable.
(4) Driver lists can be found on the Championship standings page

Special Notes: None

Nothing in it between the cars for me. Still can't decide what I'll drive.

I'd guess ISP as I don't get any messages about my router going down. Recently it's happening a bit more often than I'd like though, maybe one in ten races. Maybe time to swith ISP  Undecided

Congrats to podium.  Usual race for me, qual last and finish last on road.

Minor problem Tony, they've been spiking my Horlicks again or I've suddenly gone dyslexic. Roll Eyes Huh  I've been practicing with the Ford Falcon for this series.  hammer Good job the Mustang was my team car at simjunkies some time ago and my team mate gave me a good setup.  thumbup1  As a result once I'd got over the shock I beat my Falcon times.  Grin

Bad luck GT, I know the feeling having suffered a one or two discos in the last few weeks.

Race went well for me Grin. Predictably got beaten off the line by Pelle's Mustang & looked to be in for a battle to find a way past. Ade's Cortina was pressing from behind so I had to be a bit careful not to attempt a pass & leave a gap if it didn't work. However Pelle had a bit of a grassy moment on lap 3 & I was able to nip past & open enough of a gap that I was out of reach by the time we reached the 2 long straights.

I guess Ade must have had a moment on lap 3 too as he dropped a long way back. I put in 3 or 4 near the limit laps & got a good lead & was able to take it a bit easier for the last few while keeping fingers crossed that I didn't get a disco.  sweatdrop thumbup2

Congrats to Ade & Pelle & all who turned out. Could do with a few more on the grid though, guess its the time of year when there are other things to do.  Roll Eyes

Pretty much my view as well Geoffers, these larger circuits can seem pretty lonely when the grid sizes are smaller than usual. Still Tibernius graciously provided me with a good evenings entertainment with the latest instalment of his opus magnum "watch me pass you with ease then spin off spectacularly in front of your very eyes". His first is well worth a watch on the replay, not to far into the race. Apart from that I have little else to report. To far from the top four and able (just) to keep Tibs behind me.
Thanks to all who turned out and made it a good evenings racing.

Bill, Mustang's don't have wings. That's a top tip.  Wink

Not my day, not my track and maybe also not my car for this track.

After a laptime around 2:42 in free practice, which I think looks bad enough,
i wasn't able to reach laptimes under 2:45 in quali and 2:46 in race.
Don't know what I did to my setup. Car was undriveable and I hated the track.
After some laps without any progress and with some turnarounds and other issues
I totally lost motivation and quitted.

Congratulations to the podium.

Things will turn better next time.

I know what you mean. It is a track that can grow on you but probably not on the first visit. Well done for giving it a go tho  thumbup1

Grats  Geoffers & Ade  thumbup1

Sepang is good...on the two long sides where I could run from you, unfortunately it also has a hell of a lot of turns  Angry
I really took care of my tires, but whatever...they were worn for every lap. I had tested race fuel, hehe. After Geoffers had driven past - ARGH - Ade came back & I could do nothing. Drove my own race & spent the last of the tyres, so not the last half of the race would be too boring. Sepang is never my favorite. (Only third places here)  laugh

Idea for the summer race when the server is thin, all races moved to: Monza Jr  Grin
