Was twiddling my thumbs come Sunday night so thought I'd go for a quick spin out with the GTR lads for a change as it was a track I knew. Wasn't expecting the drizzle though
Haven't seen anything quite like that before but seeing the forecast, I cranked up the wing, softened everything off and gave it a bash. Was a very cool experience, loved the lightning, having to find the puddles and manage spray, just awesome stuff.
Spent the first few laps just trying to stay in the train and not completely embarrass myself by beaching it and somehow the rhythm just continued. Outbraked myself a few times as the wets wore out but other than tapping Prof (sorry mate!) was pleased not to have ever turned my 550 around. Think I would have done ok if it hadn't have been for the three stop/ go's! Was nice to interrupt FreQ's perfect run of fastest laps at least though.
Was a baptism of fire but loved every minute of it skating about the place, in fact I nearly screwed the fuel strategy totally the time flew so fast.
Cheers chaps, grats FreQ, SBG and everyone else who brought it home in one piece!
