with all due respect can anyone sum up why? Ive read some of the 5 pages in this thread but they go back 4 months and everyone I know has been on 1.5 for months with no problems so my team and I are a bit confused.

i belive it something to do with the dedi sever 1.5 you cant set the practice time up as you like and 1.4 you can have any time you wish for all sessions. i not to sure if they fixed this with 1.5 yet? all i did was copy and paste the gtr file with a differant name, i use 1.4 only for leugue racing the rest of the time i use 1.5.

The patch does not provide anything other than to remove some wanted dedicated server features and do a Starforce update. We see no reason to "downgrade" to version 1.5 to remove features we want to use.

Downgrading to 1.4 can be done by running the 1.4 patch over the 1.5 OR if you want to have 1.5 AND 1.4 on the same machine by copying your entire GTR directory to another directory e.g. GTR_1.4 and simply run the 1.4 patch on that one instead.

I take from this thread i need to roll back to v.4 to be able to join UKGTR races?

And I take it that applying 1.4 patch will remove 1.5 patch?

I'm not sure that is definate.

If you want to be totally sure I would do a clean install up to 1.4.

Installing 1.4 over 1.5 has worked for me for quite a few races now, so you should be fine.

I keep installing 1.4 over 1.5 and 1.5 over 1.4! No probs wotsoever. Cheesy
