I just want to highlight this race will be run with full flag rules in effect. I'll set the lap count such that an entirely clean race will last about 30 minutes. We'll probably end up with a few yellows and I don't want it lasting forever Re-starts will be single file but the race start will be standard double file.

Race length updated to 66 laps which equates to 30 mins or so without yellows. If anyone is really desparate, they can try my setup here; http://www.legendsracing.net/iracing/POPS_Milwaukee.stoIt's pretty stable but a bit slow. I can't seem to drive anything quicker though

I know what you mean, I found a quick setup on the iRacing forums, hung onto it for 2 laps before crashing. I got it calmed down so it won't try to kill me on fresh cold tyres. It's stable but soon starts to push.
Seems like you have to run the cars scary loose to be really fast on the ovals, and I can't make that work at the start of a run.

It does need to be a little loose to be quick. Normally after a few laps it does come good though.
You might need to search the old forums, but Tim Holgate usually made pretty good setups.
Get the right one though. He did post one and had to update it. As I found, the car was great for 75% of the race and then the front grip switched right off. If yellows come out at the right time you would get away with it.

Point is boys, practice your first 5 laps on cold tyres! Anyone that doesn't will be in the wall and the rest of us will have lots of yellows!

A yellow every 5 laps is the only way I'll be staying on the lead lap

I'm currently managing to just about duck into the 26.9's on a good lap once the tyres are warm. I'm seeing a fair drop-off after that though as the tyres wear as it starts to get tighter...

With those times I don't think you'll have trouble staying on the lead lap Pops!
