My return to GTR2 almost 2 years without running it, was.......dumb.
Tbh, I still like it a lot.
Without any practice, I was happy for my quali session. Lets see how I behave with a GT car then...
Starting grid, good skins around, good sounds, nice 100 fps....look!...at the S/F stands are a couple
of friends of mine....let me wave to them as they are waving to me....
......no, it wasn't like this...
green lights, cars beginning to move...GT1s away, GTCs in front away, first gear...throttle....nothing!!
what the......
engage reverse and 1st and 2nd and neutral....nothing.
GTCs behind me went away......and I found myself pressing all the keybord.
suddenly my brain began to work a bit better
and I pressed the engine start key...et voilá...it's alive, unfortunately 50 seconds behind the pack.
That's right, when I completed the pace lap, faster than you all - I admit - but I was alone...
my gap for the car in front was 40 seconds. I don't quit, I want to finish it. Porsche might hold
all race with the full tank I havd had. As for the tires we will see later...in fact, everything went
quite nice, I was shortning the gap, after 5 laps to 30 seconds now, but....on lap 8 the GT1's folks
began to, in their fast & furious pace, scaring me all the 18 of them, just when I was shortning the gap.
No need to say that I had lost all the time I gainned, making the GT1 passing manouvers easy.
Fuel was enough (finished race with fuel for only one more lap). Only had to changed all the tires.
Hats off for Picnic's race and his gentleman spirit, finishing race!
Well done to the winners, what an amazing pace!
Cheers
