Another fun race until I sort the LMPs.

I have had a few good suggestions for tracks for these fun races but, in order to keep the work load down for my self I have been choosing tracks that are already on our list and are currently available. Sorry about the lack of variety but, I am a bit busy at the moment and permission seeking for LMPs has taken a lot of my time already. Almost there though now. :)

are you sure the file is safe from Megaupload, norton reported the file is unsafe and has automatically deleted it?

Avast! Free Antivirus did not report any issues for the Megaupload or Game front files for me. Megaupload did give me a 'videopoker' pop up, I dont know if that could trigger Norton. Is Norton a bit trigger happy maybe?

Anyone else had any issues?

Sorry I'm a bit late with this, but so nobody is disappointed: I reckon the Porka's will be fastest round here as usual ::)

 :P

EDIT - I forgot the Viper is too quick in this group too :-*

I've just checked the replay, and I've to say that GT was right in his defensive approach at the last chicane. The matter was only that you approached it really cautious, and the contact became unavoidable for me, but nothing was wrong in your manouvre ;).

About the race, I' ve to say that the Viper had a great advantage with its engine, but I didn't realized the Gt Cup had "only" 400 Hp, and I thought it was the only Porsche available in the GTC category before the race... So, I've only myself to blame for the wrong choice :(. In every straight I was loosing more than 3-4 tenth, and in the main straight more than 6-7 tenth, so it was really difficult to compete for the first 2 places, but I was able to defend my position against H@l a couple of times during the first laps. After he passed me, my race become a bit tedious, and in fact with only 3 laps to go I did a mistake going into the sand, and I've lost all the advantage on Gt. He passed me and we had a nice battle during the last 3 laps till the checkered flag, though my Porsche wasn't able to keep the speed on the most powerful GT3-RS even in trail, but as I said before I've only myself to blame for the wrong choice... so the next time I will be more mindful ;)

Grats to TT-H@l and GT  :)

Cu for the next  ;)

I'm glad you saw it that way too. After committing to the inside line at the approach to the chicane I was very conscious of taking you out as you turned in, which explains my cautious entry. Late braking has never been my strong point.

Thought I'd better stay away from the cup car as some folk here think it's a bit too quick  ;) I was the same pace in both porkas, with the 996 being a bit quicker down the straight but more of a handful (fun) in those chicanes. I've always moaned that the RS and RSR were too slow compared to the add on porkas which I think is still true, but I also think it depends on the track.

As for the racing, I had a classic porka/fezza battle with Legzy for the first half of the race. Our strengths were in different parts of the track, which made for some excellent racing. Wish you hadn't let me through though as I was enjoying our little battle, but ta anyway.

I was just shaping up for a similar battle with Spanner for 4th place, when he made a mistake at the final chicane which let me through. Then with a few laps to go I caught and passed a recovering Manteos to take 3rd and had a very nervous few laps to just hold on at the finish.

Congrats to TT and H@L  8)

My campaign to ban the viper officially starts here  ;)

Wing 2 probably helped. ;)

Think about (almost any) other (think twisty) track and the usage of Vipers tyres first. But yes, it usually is a bit too quick. :)

Actually felt the 360 felt better round here than the porsche, well, more fun. The ferrari was more tail happy and the front a bit more planted which worked really well into the chicanes. Rears were wearing more than the fronts on the porka which dont work well for me. Took a bit to get the hang of the fezza, braking was an issue but thought i could cope in the race and decided to make the mistake of changing the car before the race and stuck meds on the front.

Wasnt going too badly but caught out a few times under braking either with too far forward or too far back! Just glad i had a big enough gap when i spun into the final chicane for the first time, ending up pointing the wrong way!

was a good race for me. Sorry SRW i did stop behind you then suddenly i landed on top.

After lap 15ish i had a minorish spin and hit the barrier and damaged suspension a bit so car veered off the left so i decided to pit in on lap 19-20ish but was a fairly clean race for me.

See you next week.
