not a good race for me. could not get into it last night and never found a rhythm. it didn't help that i was sitting on a folding chair, in an unheated room. still no excuse to roll the cortina not once or twice, but three times. oh well......

No worries Ade, but thanks for the thought. You had a very good race by the looks of things.

Didn't like it. Hats off to Bill, one of the only two Mustangs. Congrats for your victory Dan, well done podium. Cheers.
Thanks pribeiro more by sheer determination not to let it beat me than skill. Bill

then Bill gets in the middle of the tarck while being lapped by 3 people at once (eeeekkkkk!!!)
Sorry, when a train of cars catch you it's difficult, depending where you are on the track, to get out of everybodies way particularly when there are two each looking at opposite sides of you. In general I try and get out of the either running wide or tightening my line - once again sorry can't get it right all the time. Bill

Big sorry to Bill. My car just was not as stable as it had been & my braking was shot at the end of that straight. Took us both out, waited till you joined me on the track. Sorry mate. Then you went off again at the next lap (LOL), I just didn't think it would be cricket to drive off at that point, so waited again. I think we both lost almost 50 secs that lap Sorry again. Thanks for waiting for me, I'm afraid I spent too much time trying to see which way you try and overtake me and when you were in front which part of the track were you trying to use. The long wait was I went into the end of a barrier and stalled the engine. When I restarted it, trying to get back on the track proved difficult then too much right boot when I found the black stuff. Still last night had it's moments. Bill

I've never managed that either? (trying the same procedure you need after refueling in GTR2)

Last night was my first GTL online race and I enjoyed it. I managed to avoid most of the mayhem early on, but I started making silly mistakes and so slipped down. Almost took out Tiberius after a silly overtake but he managed to avoid hitting me. Is there anything like GPL's replay analyser for GTL? Would like to see where I lost time to the aliens I've just got a copy of GTR2, so I'll try out the P&G mod soon. Tim

Still getting the hang of GTL - last night was a bit of a classic for me. Started very steadily and made it around the first lap unscathed. Surpised by how dark the track was made picking out one or two apexes interesting. About 8 or so lpas in realised that I hadn't added more fuel ready for the race - too many years racing GPL where there is a race and a practice setup so this isn't an issue. Did a stop, amended the fuel to see me to the end but forgot to tell my pit crew not to repair damage or change tyres........some time later ready to rejoin, forget to engage speed limiter get stop go for speeding, emerge 2 laps down on leaders. I got a good rythym for remainder of race (new tyres probably helped) just a pity about the grey stuff not working that well, looking forward to next time

GTL doesn't have a pit speed limiter, does it? Oh god, shows how long ago the season was!

Er...well I use it in every practice/qually session and it definitely works. P&G doesn't though.

Default I think is key "S" but I have designated my right hand steering wheel button as starter - it cranks a a bit then catches (if I've remembered to dip the clutch ) 1st gear or reversed and away. I went down the bit on the barrier overlap so had to reverse back out of that and try and identify the closest/quickest way onto the black stuff which I think was slightly higher up than I was - so not clearly visible.
