Championship standings HERE Grid/server capacity: 22 Track: Sebring (12hr course) Download thisPlease add this patch: http://www.mediafire.com/file/m3ns7flzabn00i6/Sebring_12h.trkPut this file in to the folder called Sebring_12hr and allow it to overwrite. Cars allowed: Ford GT40 Required SkinsFord GT40 Download thisPractice: ~19:20 (60 mins) Qualifying: 20:20 (20 mins) Race: 20:40 (20 laps) Time of Day Setting: 14:00 Start: STANDING Tyre wear: Normal Fuel consumption: Normal Server: simracing.org.uk Monday Password: see aboveNotes: (1) It's best if all drivers can make sure they are connected before the Qualifying session as drivers on track during qualifying will not see cars that join after they are on track until they go back to the garage. (2) Please make sure you are fully aware of the SimRacing.org.uk Rules. (3) The AI control should be turned off so that you have control of the car at all times, including pitting. Your player file should therefore read Autopit="0" Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car If you still finding pitting problematic, experience tells us that its less to do with positioning and more to do with approach speed. A slow approach to pit crew chief has proved most reliable. Special Notes: None

IMPORTANT
Original track download has been replaced by a better version. Please use this download (Sebring Virtual_LM (v1.00.0.0)).

I really really really hate Virtua LM tracks, they look great, but I can't race on them usually The Rouen one is not so bad, this one is terrible! With all detail at min, and shadows off, everything set to absolute minimum (which generally makes no difference at VLM tracks, as they seem to think "why would anyone not want all this eye candy?" ) I get as low as 42 FPS, max is around 70 FPS I can't race like that. The screen is so choppy I fall off at most turns with the delayed response. Please can we use the boring but raceworthy other version?

Agree with Matt. My screen is like looking at a old silent movie. I have raced this version in the past and I believe there was a fix for the flickering, if I remember right it did away with the fireworks and some of the scenery. Looked on NG for a fix and not there. Will keep looking.....

I see no fireworks, as I have everything off. I have tried in cockpit view, nose view, and it makes no difference Just tried the 2005 version, and I get 96-120 on the pit straight rather than the 45-55 I get with VLM and over 200 at places where I get 72 in VLM Also, I seem to remember.. that the VLM one has some open areas at T1 and maybe other places that have some really annoying cut tracks ? could be wrong, but I think I remember some heated discussions. Maybe that was in P&G.

Well I haven't tried the previous version and I get good fps all over at this one.
But track cut messages are ridiculously severe (T1 for example). Plus its an abomination of a track as far as layout is concerned when compared to earlier versions.(Stupid chicanes everywhere). I'm considering myself fortunate at the moment that I Will probably not be able to make this one due to work.

It appears that there is a later version (1.1) which supposedly fixes the strict cuts. However the download link is duff ( http://forum.emacberry.com/viewtopic.php?f=184&t=7201). Also the update read-me doesn't claim to fix any graphics issues.

Bob M has kindly provided a patch for the 1.0 version. Get it here http://www.mediafire.com/file/m3ns7flzabn00i6/Sebring_12h.trkPut this file in to the folder called Sebring_12hr and allow it to overwrite. Drivers with stuttering troubles are asked to try this https://www.simracing.org.uk/smf/index.php?topic=12160.msg218224#msg218224 and report back with their conclusions. Also they could try setting the shadow level to Auto using the GTLConfig.exe file found in the main GTL folder.

The patch cured my FPS problem, but I think some of the jittery picture is built right into the track by the author. Sebring is a very rough track made of concrete mostly with lots of expansion joints and cracks. It's a old WW2 aircraft training base and uses much of the old taxi ways and such. I think they (track author) tried to make it as realist as possible and they succeded ! The race is always described as very hard on drivers and equipment when they telecast it on the tube. Now if I could only get a handle on how to drive the GT40, if you slide the tires it seems to me you really have your hands full of a nasty car. Guess I better get to work on it...........

Hello guys. Joao here, from Portugal. I am new here. I have tried the lm track v1.0 , and all three tracks are working without problems. No jitter at all, stable 40 fps and up, and I'm using GEMfx with some effects added, with 1xfxaa, and also with some mods, hq skies, tread, hq ai, hq gfx, and some others. Without GEMfx I get over 100 fps. My pc is a i7 2.8ghz, 4gig ram, and a modest radeon hd7670m. ( even though I have a gtx780ti that I am going to install soon ).
cheers,
jg
