Why can't they make a game that's just good out the box? Huh
I'm really not interested in downloading a hundred fixes, your then not playing the game at all Sad

Agree about out of the box but all you need is real mod and migf1s setting.
Thats one mod and someone elses wheel settings, hardly a hundred fixes Smiley

Can you provide the right download link and (if any needed) install instructions, Damien? Smiley

Here you go mate.
First you need unpack the game, heres detailed instructions it takes about 30 mins http://www.nogripracing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=166542

Real mod and ai overhaul can be found in their respective threads here http://forum.racedepartment.com/need-for-speed-shift-mods/    [also many more mods in racedepartments download section]

Now for the G25 profile go to post #137 on this page http://www.nogripracing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=164378&page=6  for MigF1s settings.

Hope this helps you guys.

Thanks, buddy. Will try it when I get home. Smiley
Usually not a fan of these games (since I sold my Amiga), but my kid wanted to try it and I had to see if there's any adult material in it. Cheesy  Found it addictive at first, then quit playing 'cause of stupid car behaviour.  Sad

Still GTR(2) for me all the way. Cool

Ooops, I miscounted Grin
Maybe I was confusing it with rFactor. I've got that, but it just seems like too much effort to bother with when I'm already happy with GTR2, PnG & GTL still.

The problem is two fold. It's not really 2 "mods", because those controller settings will NOT match your system unless you are lucky. You will at the very least need to change the number of degrees rotation of your wheel in the controller settings, because the wrong setting here is nearly as bad as the input lag. It's easy enough to change, but you need to know to do it and do it, e.g. I use 400 degrees rotation for my wheel and I would need to make sure the custom wheel controller settings for NFS also use that otherwise it will feel wierd. No doubt MigF1s uses 270 or 360 or something, but unlikely to be 400 or whatever your preference is.

As I said, even once I'd done the above and used real mod, it's still didn't feel like driving a car, but I was almost at the conclusion that there might be a good driving model underneath. However if you can't get to it, what's the point?! So I gave up after MANY hours fiddling with it.

agreed, you never really feel in control of the car....

If I wanna play a good console racer I'll player either GT5p or Dirt2.
