GT if we made contact in race 1 it was pretty light as I managed to avoid some chaos and gain a couple of places before T2. I was running 4th for ages, I was never quick enough to chase down the 3 in front but was hold a gap to the cars behind. However I was having great trouble under braking and inevitably lost it. Only trouble is, and this is a depressing knack I have, I did it at the only corner with no run off. Lost a wheel and then got DQ'ed trying to reverse down the pit lane for some service.
Legzy, cheers mate, suggested I tweaked the brake force down before race 2. This helped but only after I had got used to it, for the first few laps I wasn't braking hard enough now and was running wide everywhere. Mr Walker's move on Legzy in T1 caused a bit oh mayhem for us behind and I arrived to find the track completely blocked. I ended up gently nudging SBG. The setup changes not helping here as starting dead last I was expecting to have to go slowly here. Race 2 was much better once I had worked out the new braking forces and I los the frequent lock ups that ultimately lead to my demise in the first race. Took a couple of laps to get passed Tony and then was chasing the GT/Legzy/Walker battle. Legzy drifted wide under pressure from that Walker bloke and GT followed him. Cheers chaps
I quickly got passed the AI and had 8 seconds to Kroon (another AI) with I think it was 6 or 7 laps. Caught him and thought about a pass in to T1 with 2 laps to go, he stayed wide and didn't really contest it. I was through and after the disappointment of race 1 was please to get a podium from dead last in the 2nd.
I'm one who's not keen on the rain, but I'll generally persevere when we have fixed conditions as here. It's the variable weather I really don't like.
