This event marks the start of a short season with the GT cars. Race 1 is with the slowest cars in the group. Race 2 will open up the Orange group and race 3 will open up the Green group. I plan to do 8 races in the GT cars and a fun race in between at 1999 Hockenheim in a rippin fast car. This should get us done with the season leaving plenty of time to visit friends and family for the holidays.
Early testing shows the L76 and the Mustangs work best on this track (for me at least). I'm running 1:37's on full tanks.

The track is fun for driving around but every race I've ever had in GPL ended in the Esses on lap one because someone thought it looked like a good place to overtake.

Might want to take those sandbags out now Mike Even i am managing 36's and 37s with race fuel and it never happens that i am on the same second of the clock as you Perhaps all my ALMS viewing for several years has paid off at this great roller coaster track This one seems a tad narrower than the real deal though! Needs those VirtuaLM guys to get their mitts on a conversion.

I think I remember another version of this track that is a little better. No where near the VLM quality though.

Mike, there is a Road Atlanta 2007 track layout available. Not sure if its only in the states somewhere but i know the NAGP crowd use it for their racing leagues. They also have a very tasty looking Road America. This is what their administrator had to say about it... "It has come to my attention there is a new Road America 2008 out...not the NeelJ version (Elkhart lake) but one apparently from Race07 or Raceon? I have tested it and I must say, IMO, It appears to be the most accurate and honestly the MOST immersive! FPS wise it seems to be okay".edit, tracks available here on filefront:- http://www.filefront.com/16314145/NAGP_Monday_S12_Track_Pack.rar/ Maybe we can use them in upcoming rounds. Dang, stigs on 35's already...back to the track for me then Only tried two of the cars so far and think i could get into 36's at least with a few more laps. I stopped when i was already quicker than Mikes posted times thinking i was fast enough!

managed to get a low 36 with the TransAm, 37s with the vette roadster, 39s with Weslake Falcon don't think I can go any faster without taking huge liberties with kerbs. Can't remember which was which now, but I sometimes have to rename the download from xxxxx[0] to xxxxxxx.exe I think it may be an IE 64bit thing.

I consider the kerbs to be white lines, i.e always keep min 2 wheels on the inside. Anyway, as Clive has already pointed out, this race will mostly be about getting to the finish line ( for me anyway ) Stig / Hotkeys

I'm getting really brassed off with the lack of interaction with other racers in PnG.
I spend all week practicing the track on my own and then turn up on race night to find that I'm miles off the pace.
Think I'll go do some GPL tonight as I will be able to find some humans to play with!
