Aye, exactly, problem with Button is that he's highly affected by "this car's not to my liking" and that will ruin his season IMHO, since there is NO WAY current F1 cars can be to someone's liking throughout the grand prix, there's just too much fuel weight changes&handling related issues.
Then again he's very constant and extremely gentle with tyres
, so in theory rules should work in his favor. But only in theory. Would love to put Button in there and would if he was in, say, Ferrari or RB, but.... well, you said it yourself, McHamilton team.
I still think best season Hamilton ever drove was the one last year. What he managed to do in first, this-isn't-exactly-real-racing-car part of the season was simply mind blowing and that's why I put him up there.
I suspect more aggressive drivers will, after teams figure out proper setups, manage to give us some more racing. Am pretty sure all the teams were playing it safe, since there's no way anyone could predict precise tyre wear after those "not so sunny spain good for nothing testing sessions."
BTW, I did some maths (used free practice and race data), we will see 2 or 3 stops on short tracks.
I hope.
Anyway, we'll see, can't wait.
