... electric.

Dear Geekness that art in garage labs!

100 rear wheel hp, 320Nm of torque, i.e. 250ft/lbs.

Let it sink in for a bit.
3-2-0 Nm.

This thing will race AND plow your field if need be. Grin

a bit noisy at 160+ mph but otherwise not a slow plastic bucket. lap could be a bit faster, but not by much.

watch the speedo at that fast uphill section.  blink punk

Great job mate.  Cool

You should have seen the reaction of my sim-flying friends when they've received link to this 50+ weeks thingie of yours.

Quote:"W00t? BRB, am off to throw away all my model planes."

True story. Smiley

Give'em limited fuel with "locked" engines that they have atm.

The only solution for teams to finish races would be getting rid of huge amounts of drag, i.e. wings.

Simple.

Aye, exactly, problem with Button is that he's highly affected by "this car's not to my liking" and that will ruin his season IMHO, since there is NO WAY current F1 cars can be to someone's liking throughout the grand prix, there's just too much fuel weight changes&handling related issues.

Then again he's very constant and extremely gentle with tyres  Cool , so in theory rules should work in his favor. But only in theory. Would love to put Button in there and would if he was in, say, Ferrari or RB, but.... well, you said it yourself, McHamilton team.

I still think best season Hamilton ever drove was the one last year. What he managed to do in first, this-isn't-exactly-real-racing-car part of the season was simply mind blowing and that's why I put him up there.

I suspect more aggressive drivers will, after teams figure out proper setups, manage to give us some more racing. Am pretty sure all the teams were playing it safe, since there's no way anyone could predict precise tyre wear after those "not so sunny spain good for nothing testing sessions."

BTW, I did some maths (used free practice and race data), we will see 2 or 3 stops on short tracks.

I hope.  Grin

Anyway, we'll see, can't wait. Smiley

Aye, track is boring but it's also a typical track with everything (high and low speed) in it, good show of team form. RB is the fastest over one lap, Ferrari over race distance plus much better on harder tyre.

Alonso will eat them alive IMHO, new rules brought in driver IQ factor. Below are the only four capable of constant lap times with metronomic precission and these are the guys in for the championship.

Alonso
Vettel
Hami
Schumi

Action will come, don't worry. None of the teams had real idea on tyre duration etc. Melbourne's quali will already be packed to the limit and plus most of the racing will happen on much shorter tracks. Hungaroring and Monaco will be a nightmare. Good.  Cool

Dark horse of the season: Sutil in Force India?

My money's on Alonso.

well, if nothing else quali sessions in 2010 brought us an end to "yeah, but he had less fuel than..." excuses.

good.  Cool

Also: Karun Chandhok's only 10 seconds behind pole sitters time in a brand new car with 7 (seven) laps on it. Not bad to be honest. Gutsy too, I'm sure.
30  UKGTR / UKGTR Races / Re: UKGTR Season 12 Upper Endurance (GT1/GT2) - Suzuka (GP) - Mar 14 on: March 07, 2010, 11:43:44 AM +0000
A bit off topic but still Suzuka related:

I've been trying F430 gt2. Am new to GT2 class tbh.

Now, max power is @7000rpm, right? Why does it rev up to 9k and is it any faster up in high rpm? Judging by the sound of engine whilst driving and in-game power and torque graph it doesn't pay to do it, I can hear engine losing powaaah above 8000rpm (or so). U know, it does rev up even higher, but sounds... asthmatic and it doesn't gain rpm in a linear way (might be wrong though).

Am confused. Any ideas?

BTW, awesome go-kart, this 430 thing. Love it, wet track or not.
