Anyone watches SPARTACUS: BLOOD AND SAND  series?  AND: do you love it or hate it? Wink  I love it. Shame the shooting of Series 2 is delayed due to main character health. I wonder if he'll be able to play in it at all? Undecided

HBO's miniseries The Pacific's worth a look.

Both see them and like 'em both. First episodes of Spartacus were a bit hmmpf as I had the feeling they were trying to hard, but now it's really good.

The Pacific is also a nice series, but there is often too much story behind the war, which for me is uninteresting. I like the previous episode with the invasion of that small island.

The Pacific has been pretty good so far. Enjoying that, but got a lot to live upto to beat Band of Brothers.
Thanks for heads up on Spartacus, didnt know about that one and just downloaded first 5 episodes !

SPARTACUS: BLOOD AND SAND

HBO's miniseries The Pacific's worth a look.

Yep. Both good and well worth watching. I think the fight choreographing could be better in Spartacus, think I saw some WWF moments. I started watching Spartacus mainly for the extreme violence (awesome levels of grotesqueness), amusing use of language and boob. And what do you know? The story line totally kicks off as well. Grin

The Pacific is good, but is way more dramatised than Band of Brothers. Still, it has excellent gun fight scenes.  Smiley

totally different. This one is set in the Pacific...hence the title  Wink  whereas BoB was set in western europe from D-day to war end.

This is a lovely and tender movie. Even now with 44 y.o., every time I see it, a few tears drop.  :'(
Deux frères - Two brothers (in English).

The all movie is available on Youtube in 10 parts of ~10 minutes each.

I love this film. Anyone saw it?
