It occurred to me later that he might have thought it was the last lap, whereas it was the last lap for the leaders Yes, exactly that, got confused when the last lap message came up.. Apologies for that and for generally getting in the way, especially at T1. I was trying to learn the braking points as we went along, but got T1 very wrong on several occasions, apologies to Matt and Mark. Despite that, had some good fun along the way, sorry to see you both go off at different points. Congrats Geoff, Birger, Matt.

Never raced these before. Chose the BMW because I liked the livery and bought it just before the race. Good fight with Mark, but ran out of fuel as in the rush to cobble together a setup I forgot to set the correct amount for the race. Good fun, but I was a fair bit off the pace, so will see if more can be got out of it for the next round. Congrats Geoff and podium.

Frex playing mind games Lol, if you mean when I let you past it's because I went very wide at the chicane and don't like to gain from such a flagrant track-limits violation. But then you went and binned it at the end of the straight..! Good fun in the early laps as I could keep to Geoff's pace, but as soon as the LF tyre overheating started to kick in I really started to struggle, whereas Geoff just kept on going quicker. In fact I thought I was going to lose a couple more places as Pete and Birger got closer, and probably would have done without a bit of luck (and Pete's jumper) Congrats Geoff great drive, as always the FWD king.

The FL does take a hammering and overheats through the long right-hander Carousel, but recovers again before the end of the lap. The wear is worse yes, but still manageable, and at the end of the race my FL was orange and RL + FR yellow. Laptimes didn't drop off too much though, maybe 5 or 6 tenths, so definitely quicker overall.

A pity Birger spun on the opening lap otherwise it could have been a three way fight. Indeed, close times in qually and looked like it was going to be good battle when Birger got ahead into T1. So sorry to see you spin at the end of the straight. Good fight with Geoff though throughout. I think you were quicker and got alongside a few times, but I could just about stay ahead. Good fun! Congrats Geoff P2 and Birger for the fightback to P3.

@Geoff, indeed the FRJ is much easier and the basic setup is already good. 2 years ago the car was very oversteery and you need much adjusments in the setup to have a steady car. Never saw an announcement of an update to the FRJ (maybe with the tire update)
Apart from the v4.1 tyres, there was this in the June 2021 update: Formula RaceRoom Junior, 2, 3, 4 and 90 - Tweaked rear tyre slip curves to give more progressive grip drop off beyond the limit Fun, but need to practice. Close laptimes bodes well for future races and should be a good series. Congrats Geoff.

GT4 - currently doing a GT4 championship on monday at ACR. mixed feelings about this class Note that I was not referring to the GT4 class, but to the Cayman Trophy class. Although both are named Cayman GT4, these two cars are in fact not quite the same - the Cayman Trophy Cup car is slightly heavier and has fewer setup options (fixed rear wing and non-adjustable dampers) than the Cayman found in the full GT4 class, and is therefore both easier to setup and slightly more forgiving on the limit. And of course, this is a single make series, unlike the full GT4 class. So, easy to drive and close racing guaranteed - what's not to like..!?
