I agree. Riccardo's Legends series has been a bit of a breath of fresh air because it was different. The NSU, Group 5, Touring Classics etc series are all brilliant, but we have done them to death. Some of Riccardo's combos I didn't enjoy quite so much as others, but it didn't matter because there was only ever a week to wait for the next one, and overall it has been great fun.

I hope we do something similar again sometime, and in particular I hope we can include some of the cars that we rarely use, eg KTM X-Bow RR, Cayman GT4 Trophy, BMW M235, Audi TT, FJ, GTE, TCR and (of course!) Group 4. Ok, I haven't actually ever tried the Audi TT, but all of the others are super fun to drive. Just my 2 pfennigs..

Yes, I saw Matt's comment that the race should be 4 laps and added a little extra to be safe. Which was not safe at all!  Should have done some proper testing of my own of course, so entirely my own fault.

Enjoyed the race however, and was getting quicker as I got the lines and braking down better in the Saleen. Catching Biri/Baldoni/Geoff towards the end, but the engine started spluttering at Antoniusbuche and came to a halt just at the final corner. Thank you to Pawel who attempted to push me over the line, but we found that the cars are made drive-throughable after the race end, so that didn't work.

Congrats to Massimo for the win and championship. Thanks to Riccardo for this Legends series, hope we do something similar again. And thanks to Matt for all the organisation behind the scenes over the years. Looking forward to the next series!

Sorry you couldn't be there Pete, you would have been up there at the sharp end in the Volvo. I too assumed I would not be able to make this one, but a last minute change of plans allowed me to quickly hop on the server and join in.

Glad I did as was quite a fun battle with Riccardo. The small gap between us was remaining constant however, and when Geoff showed up I allowed him by (not that I would have held him back for long anyway) in the hope he would start hassling Riccardo better than I was. This turned out well as it forced Riccardo into a mistake and we both got past. Good fun.

I like these cars, they are always fun and can be set up safe (and slow) or edgy (and fast). Went for the latter and paid the price with a couple of spins. Congrats Massimo and podium.

Yeah, those GTL and P&G days were so good back then, and I still miss the sheer depth of quality tracks and cars that were (are) available. But I can't go back now, RRE is king for me, and loving what historic content it does have. Great to hear from you Daz, and hope to see you (and Heebs and any other ex-NG'ers) in RRE soon! (The 935 Fabcar next week would be right up your street..)

Disaster race for me..

This will sound like the worst of driver excuses    but I started getting severe pains in my right foot and could not accelerate or brake fully without major discomfort. Got nowhere near my practice times and at race start it got so bad I had to lift off on lap 1 several times on the straights, and eventually slow to a stop (apologies to Bill who probably wondered what I was doing).

Got going again but accurate braking was very difficult and I spun several times, so finished a long way back. A shame as I was looking forward to this one.

Didn't have a setup ready this time so just stuck it on map 5 and guessed fuel. Should have checked the posts above though because it become clear my fuel estimate was woefully short. Started fuel saving around half distance but with a couple of laps to go it was clear I wasn't going to make it so came in. And then stopped in the pitlane while I tried to remember how to configure pitstops in RRE.. Enjoyed the car the car though, good fun. Congrats Riccardo, Massimo and Matt.

Yes, go to Cars, then Classes at the store page. Both 1995 and 2003 cars are £3.38 each for one car and then 25p for additional liveries. Worth waiting for Black Friday in case there is a sale though as most individual cars and tracks get discounted by 50%. If there isn't a Black Friday sale there will almost certainly be a Winter/Christmas sale at some point.

Really enjoyed that one, with some good battling with John and Birger who was a constant presence just a few tenths behind, until losing it at the infamous T3 towards the end - good racing and bad luck!

Pete was also a target to chase throughout the race, but a bit too quick. Good fun though. Congrats Riccardo and podium, and Geoff for the championship.
